Hello. I'm new to the Action Fleet world and am trying to play catch up. I was hoping someone can help me out.

Are the Saga Slave 1, Republic Gunship, & Republic Assault Ship worth $59 + $8 shipping? They are offered up by Brian's Toys & am wondering if it's his usual inflation or valid due to scarcity of these out there.

I'm also having the hardest time finding the Saga Rebel Snowspeeder.

Thanks in advance!

mm74md, that's a tough call. The copout answer would be that they're worth whatever you're willing to pay. Have you searched ebay current or ended auctions for these ships separately, to see what the ebay aftermarket average selling price has been lately? The gunship has been selling for about $30 + shipping. Slave 1 has ended with no bids at a $10 asking price, but some sellers are trying to get up to $30+. You may want to check the same way for the acclamator.

Even if the prices you see make the Brian's price seem fair, it still chaps my @ss to think of laying out that much $ for the ships. But as you said, you are coming in very late to the AF collecting world, and this may just unfortunately be where the aftermarket prices have gone. It's a shame. These are toys, and not even that old. Terms like "priced out of the market" used when talking about AF collecting just make me sick. All the more frustrating is that a relatively small handful of profiteers have succeeded in driving up the market.

Good luck.

Thanks guys...I'll have to see if it's really worth it to me. I'm basically selling the majority of my 3 3/4" scale vehicles due to lack of display space. I figure if I can get sell some of my junk on eBay to fund this auction, I'll do it.

Thanks again!!!

you may want to consider posting what you have here, in case any MM/AF collectors are interested in trading AF for any of your 3 3/4" stuff.

Actually, I found another auction provided by D&S Sci Fi & got all three MIB for $29.99 + shipping. I wish this one would've come up earlier since I'm an opener!

You'll find plenty of enthusiasm for D&S from the members of this forum.
Many if us have added to our collections thanks to them.
I haven't check their site lately, and didn't think to recommend them to you.

Enjoy your new AFs.
