Dengar and Bossk: Equal in Height!

Who the heck would have guessed? I was surprised to get these 2 figures up on my shelf together with 300th Boba Fett - and see that they are all very close to being the same height. Shouldn't Bossk be a good solid head taller than Boba, who edges out Dengar by a couple of inches (in the movie)? The figures are both well detailed and look good, but the size issue just stands out too much for me to call myself happy with them as a set. Oh, and Bossk doesn't hold his gun worth a pinch of salt. That will be all.

The scale of the figures has never been very consistant. I think they really take the 3 3/4" thing to heart, and unless it's a jawa or Graxol Kelvynn, they pretty much stick to the uniform height. This was my problem with the Kaminoans. In the movie, they tower over Obi-Wan. In plastic, they are about the same height, and much slighter overall.

Either way they are nice figs JJ. Got these about a week ago and I love them.

YEAH!!! That really bugged me to. Thats why I decied not to put them next to each other. :D

Actually the new Bossk is more accurate in height than previous figures. The actor who played the bounty hunter was also the body double for Harrison Ford when they were casting the mold for the Carbonite Block, thus Bossk and Han Solo should be about the same height. The actor who played Dengar was a bodybuilder like David Prowse and was actually taller than Prowse. Thus, Dengar and Vader could look eye to eye, so Dengar is the second tallest of the six ESB bounty hunters (second only to IG-88).

Interesting, BigB. I think my rememberances of the heights of the Bounty Hunters must be based on the relative sizes of the vintage figures. Bossk was one of the tallest vintage figures (if not the tallest?), and Dengar one of the shortest human figures. I'll watch ESB again in the near future to compare how they look in the movie.
