They aren't 12" figs tho. They are going to be the 21" statues they are making now like the Hellboy one for $250.

Yep, like DSS said the license covers statues...not figures. :)

Besides, if anyone got the right to do large scale figures.....I'd hope it was Neca. 20" Ultra Scale Star Wars figures like their Aragorn, Legolas, and Gandalf figures would rock the hizouse. Especially for the price point Neca delivers them at. :)

I am strangely elated and disappointed at the same time. Most of my non-SW collecting budget goes to Sideshow for their 12" Monsters, Hellboy, Bluebeard, etc. I have nothing but praise for the company. Everything they make is worth the price, whether I can afford it or not--usually not. I'm constantly behind on my Sideshow collection. I just can't spend the $45 per doll (action figure if you want) and usually catch up when I can find them in the $20-$30 range on ebay.

The idea of them doing a 12" SW line, is exciting in that it would be incredible, but daunting in the idea of expense. I actually need to streamline my SW collecting, not expand it.

So, while I am disappointed that their license does not cover a 12" line for the aesthetic value, my wallet is breathing a hefty sigh of relief. I appreciate the staues, but don't collect them, so it's one less line I have to worry about being able to afford.

Even though it's not an action figure, this is still cool to see. The price is pretty daunting but if they do some cool characters I might just be interested in one or 2 or 3 or....

Sideshow does a great job. Very detailed. It will be interesting to see what they bring to the SW universe.

It can only be an improvement, gentlemen!!!
