Looks great, and fits perfectly the early reports we had for the packaging. I like it, and can't wait to see what it looks like with figures on it. :)

Very very nice and yes, pretty much expected. I'm just glad Vader is the focus of this new style. Hopefully everything in the EPIII line will look similar.

Could that have been a JediDefender.com Watermark that was taken off by a knob?

Not bad :)

I'm a bit skeptical about this image. While it COULD be a prototype, it appears very photoshoppy to me.

Interesting, to say the least.

Gotta wonder if the helmet is an Ep. 2 prop, because the style itself hasn't changed much, compared to what the Ep. 3 clone troopers are supposed to look like.

Perfect, Hasbro, take the hint!!!

What's with "Rise of the Empire"? Is that a rumored title?

That's one of them. The other, really big rumored one, is: Revenge of the Sith

Suxs big time. This is a major drop in the quality of the packaging.

I've read that this is just a mock-up. It looks like it to me. I bet the fianl artwork will be better - or at least I hope it will...

Interesting..... Looks better than the EPII style, but then again, almost everything does.

I honestly don't think we'll ever get better cardbacks than the OTC collection.

This packing sucks big time. Ep1 all over again. It's the old thinking, the vintage style doesn't sell.:stupid:

Maybe we can get Bobby Fett to use his Saga wrapping paper to spruce it up some.

I love the OTC style too but unfortunately Hasbro won't be able to do anything on that level for EPIII because they won't have the movie to borrow images from and use as backdrops on the cards. Personally I like the red on black look and the lava effect on the cards but yeah they could still be better.

That Clonetrooper helmet looks just like the one we were able to get as a Kellogg's cereal promo up here in Canada back in 2002, I'm sure that's the package they used for this mock up - which is what it has to be... why would they offer a Clonetrooper helmet in the EpII style for EpIII? We've seen pics of the the Clone/Stormtrooper hybrids for the new movie already, if it had been that helmet I would have been more convinced.

The style is fine, and I like what they're hinting at with the lava - I've read no spoilers, but that would be a nice nod to the original novellization of the first movie.

I have that helmet, and I thought it looked awful familiar!

Other than teaser pictures on the CW Cartoon trading cards, Hyperspace and the Insider, I think we're still months away from seeing an actual clonetrooper helmet.

Well if we follow the pattern established from the last 2 films the first round of figures will be released in April, a full month before the release of EPIII. When you consider the figure and card design/development process is started well before that I'd be surprised if Hasbro even had a finished version of the film to use as a reference on the new cards. In addition to that I would think Lucasfilm would be opposed to the use of said images keeping possible spoilers to a minimum in this final episode of the saga. Who knows though I could be wrong, time will tell.

They now have the packaging for Hyperspace members. I really like it. It is not like the earlier packaging we see. It is very improved. Look at it carefully you can see Obi and Ani dueling on Vader's helmet. It also looks like the line will be called ROTS.

Which, probably means that we will have two seperate lines. Maybe the OTC will continue with ROTS. For those who are trying to stay spoiler free I will not say what ROTS stands for, but anyone should be able to figure it out.

And, ROTS is my favorite title.

I saw the basic card today at the Con and it looks lame to me. It's not your basic Star Wars card. it's not Square, it's tapered on both side and way too colorful in my opinion. I asked the hasbro rep about the OTC packaging in the future and he said that they had to go with a new card for EP3, but if the fans want the OTC after EP3 they will looking into it. I told him that the OTC card would work for all the films, they just have to use the right backdrop from each film. He seem to like the idea.

I think the new stuff looks too POTF2, which, after OTC, is a BIG letdown.

This is worse than I ever imagined. It's ridiculously flashy, cartoony & childish. Why didn't they go for darker, meaner cards with a certain classy touch to somewhat mirror the themes and feelings surrounding EP III? I just can't believe they're coming up with this!!

It is just plain made to catch the eye of a kid, period. And the decision to call the movie ROTS is soooooooooooooooooo predictable... Yes, I have a bad feeling about this.

Thumbs down, again and again :frus: .

That is cool! I cannot wait until those come out. Still hard to get use to that color scheme for the ROTS packaging.
