I am pretty sure you dont need to buy the DVD's. I will be extremely peeved if you do as I am not getting the DVD's, and there are a lot of people who wont be buying them from Wal-Mart either, so I think they will be seperatly sold.

What 3 packs? What's in them? New figures? Repacks? Awesome packaging?

Forget it, I think I found them in the Database. So what's the deal with these? For sale ONLY at Walmart? With the DVD or on their own?

They're commemorative, only repacks, WM-exclusives (IIRC), don't need to buy the DVDs to get these.

So does anyone know the price on these? Think they will be the same $20 like the Cinema packs? Thanks for the replys.

I think they are arouynd 20 bukcs a pop. One pack actually has 4 in it becuase it comes with R2 and 3PO.

The fact that the packaging is worth more than what's in them, I'll pass on these. Besides even if I wanted them I never find anything at a WM.:ermm:

I like the packaging so I'll probably take a stab at getting them, even though, as Turbo says, finding stuff at Walmart is like finding a virgin at the Playboy mansion.

These are $9.96 each. I saw the New Hope & Empire sets this morning. Very cool packaging.

So which ones are people getting or are you guys buying them all? At the midnight madness sale I went to the one set with the droids was sold out, so I asked the cashier which one people were buying less of, and he said the one with Han, Leia, and Chewie, so I bought that for now. Hopefully they'll be more made available so I can get the other 2.

You can also get them at walmart.com (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=173007&&path=0%3A4171%3A4172%3A173005%3A173007)

The ANH set seems to be the most popular here, I didn't see any left this morning. Still plenty of the ESB and ROTJ sets though.

I saw ANH and ESB today as well. It looked like they had a pretty small selection, and they were stacked on top of the DVD display near the front. So if you want 'em and don't see them in the toy aisles, check anywhere else in the store they might put the DVDs.

The trilogy packs were the main reason I went to WM at 11:30 last night! Nice sets, although some of the paint jobs could be a little better.

I like how now there's a "DVD NOT INCLUDED" sticker. :D

Today they had these on the same display as the DVDs. They are okay, but since I already have the figures I'll pass.

Is the Vader in the the ROTJ pack a reissue of a previous figure or is it a new sculpt?

Kidhuman

They are all reissues. No original figures in them

Which Vader is it? Death Star Clash? I don't own that one and I never got the Saga Emperor, so I might get the ROTJ pack if it is a Vader sculpt that I don't already have.

I dont know which Vader it is exactly(think it is the same as the OTC one). I mainly purchased this set becuase I too, never got the Saga Emperor and that is what is in it. Plus an army builder. So if you look at it that way, Vader is free.

By the way, I still have that Mynock Hunt Chewie if you want it.

$10 isn't a bad price point at all for 3 figures *cough*$10foroneVOTCfig*cough* and I love when they package the main characters all together like this. If I can come up with the money I'll for surely get these.

Why is it that 99% of the time I am disappointed when I open up the box? I bought the ROTJ 3 pack for the Emperor since I never saw this fig in the stores. Unfortunately, all three figs are poor quality. Palpatine has nice hands and face but the gigantic hood is too much. The stormtrooper looks like a 3rd world reject. Talk about no articulation. Same for Vader. And did anyone see the nasty R2 in ANH box set? What kind of crap is that?
Is there a new Emperor figure coming out? Can anyone post a link to pics of all the new blister pack figures?
Thanks.

Mace

No plans for a new Emperor right now. Possibly with the ROTS line, but none right now.

I still favor the old POTF2 Emperor.

Kidhuman

Put the POTF2 hood on the Saga Emperor and you got a sweet figure.

I might have to try that!
