A few of you already know, I'm here on Maui for awhile, ...........so, I want to share a few pictures with those interested. Most of my pictures are of sunsets and moonsets, so I hope they will give you a "peaceful easy feeling" in these turbulant times.

Very nice picture, thanks for sharing. That wouldn't happen to be the view out your window would it? :)

Hey R2, nice to see your name popping up again. Great photo, postcard perfect. But where are all the SW collectibles? ;)
Hope you guys are doing well out there.

Great photo. Just put it as my wallpaper.

JT, we're still doing fine here :D Thanks for asking :classic: I saved my SW toy for THIS thread (http://forums.sirstevesguide.com/showthread.php?t=24896) ;)
Exhaust Port, not from our window, but within walking distance :D
kidhuman, glad you like it enough for wallpapering  !
I still haven't got the hang of getting a well-defined moon as it sets over the ocean, but I'll keep trying. :D

Very cool pic! :)

dr_evazan22, my husband is working at the research and technology park here. They work with the telescopes on top of Haleakala (you might have made the trip to the top when you were here?).
Here's another pic of a sunrise:

More great pics R2.
I had a feeling you wouldn't leave the SW out of it forever. ;)

Beautiful pictures R2, thanks for sharing.
Coincidently my sister was married over the weekend and leaves for Maui tomorrow on they're honeymoon. I've only been to Hawaii once when I was a teenager but I fell in love with it instantly and would love to return someday.

Excellent pics, I was in Maui back in February. It sucked leaving and coming back to the desert. Haleakala was the one place we didn't go on the island. Guess we just have to go back.

Here's another sunrise beach picture. You don't see it in the picture, but the full moon is setting to the west.

Very nice pics R2. Thanks for sharing them all.

Wow that moonset pic looks like a sunset of different type of star/sun. Are you sure you didn't step through a dimensional rip for a second and catch an image on one of the Star Wars planets?:D

R2, did you happen to get some pics of the eclipse the other night? I would love to se em if you did.
10-30-2004, 05:53 PM
kidhuman, boy I was hoping to get some good pics of the eclipse, but we had a cloud layer that developed on the horizon hindering a nice view. You can see the clouds HERE (http://r2toyforce.net/IMAGES/13oct2004dscn0305sunsetkamIII_12jw.jpg) during the eclipse. You can "barely" see it in this one. We missed out on the lunar eclipse here as well. It was just ending totality when the moon was rising on the other side of the volcano :frus:
Hellboy, I'm sure your sister will have a GREAT time on her honeymoon!:)
Glad most of you are enjoying the pics...I enjoy taking them:)!!

Very cool pics R2, but I can't see that last one because it's a 1.5 meg .bmp file.

Sorry JT, sometimes I forget to convert my pics to a jpeg when I resize them :)
This one should be better? (http://r2toyforce.net/IMAGES/13oct2004dscn0310sunsetkamIIIcrop_12jw.jpg)

Thanks R2, very cool picture once again. :)

Oh man, that is an awesome picture! I love the clouds. Simply breath-taking...
