View Full Version : Bagged some Konami Alien MMs

Before I jump into what I'm posting I should add that I'm not living in the UK at the moment, moved out to Marseille, France with my g/f a month ago, anyway, now that details out the way, I will carry on..

I picked up some of the Alien/Aliens Konami ships in the UK, a comic store in Cardiff had quite a good collection, and I got the Nostromo and the Dropship for about 10 each. They also had the Sulaco (the rare one of the set, typical, as its probably the most popular) but the big fat rip off comic guy wanted 30 for it! 30, for one! If I'd have had the money I probably would have bought it but I resisted.

Lucky I did, after a couple of weeks of exploring the lovely port city of marseille that I now call home I found a shop down a backstreet selling all the ships for 7 euros each, including the Sulaco. Bargin! Also picked up the lifeboat from Alien. May buy the Nostromo again as I've left my entire collection of MMs.Furutas and other stuff safe in the UK.

Sorry, just thought I'd share that, if you lot haven't picked them up yet, do try, they are great!

Hi Andy, great deal ! We can find the Konamis here between 7 Euros and 15 Euros each. Depends on the shop, the Sulaco is very well priced at 7. They are all great, even the figures. They have been re-issued and are now available in a whole collection (a mix of serie 1 & serie 2 : still by boxes of 10 or 12 units) at HLJ : http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?KNM11785

Don't forget to visit the "Calanques" in a sunny day if you're still in Marseille. Hope you have a nice stay on the south side !

Yeah, had noticed you could get them in a collection on some websites.

On the subject of France, I'm living in Marseille for at least until the academic year, may even stay for another one after that, loving it so far and trying to learn some language!
