"Han Solo"- what the hizzy? I assume this is going to be some figure ni the line from the OT, but that wouldn't make sense. This should be interesting.'

Everything else looks yummy though!! I can't wait...but i'm sure my checking account can. :crazed:

It is a nice looking list. But no C-3PO? They have to make one of him. The others are all cool. I can not wait.

I've been posting it for 2 years: I think Han Solo was bred from a new DNA source for Clones.

These are ROTS figures. Han will be 11 years old (or about 4 years in Clone Years, growth accelerated so that he looks to be about 11 years old - sort of like the 5 year old versions of Jango, who were played by Danniel Logan who also played the 10 year old Boba Fett.)

This is still speculation, but I swear I look forward to saying "I Told You So!" in a few months.

The Luke Skywalker figure will be an infant with "escape accessories" - I'll post more when I get that totally confirmed. It is also a ROTS figure, not an OTC issue.

Maybe Luke will be a fetus in a jar. Much like Dr. Fretters Family of Freaks from McFarlane, perhaps we'll be getting 21-B's Family of Freaks. :p

Han can be the cop-out in a jar.

Maybe we'll actually get a decent Super Battle Droid this time that can stand and has it's wrist turned to the side.

I think the Tantive IV escape pod, yes the same one that was for Ultra C-3PO, will take up the main space in Luke's blister package, with the VERY young Jedi likely not being poseable at all, but basically a prop.

Hasbro trying to make a cheap buck off stuff they've just re-carded.

In any event, it will look cooler carded on the ROTS card and (I guess because I didn't buy 3PO) Obi-Wan sold separately can fit in the pod to take Luke to Tatooine.

Interesting how we've seen carded pics of R2-D2 but he's not even on the list. Also, Palpatine hasn't been "senator" since TPM. Something's fishy with this list . . . I doubt we'll get all those figures in 2005, then there wouldn't be any to make for a few years.

I'm betting that Han Solo was a misprint, and I doubt we'll get a Luke, unless he's with Padmé.

EDIT: http://www.starwars-universe.com/fiche_actu2.asp?ac_id=4207

Have a look at that French website, it looks like Rebelscum copied their list from there. It seems like Luke and Han might just be OT figures after all, since they're in the same wave, but I can't tell for sure. It also says that Meditation Chamber Vader is the 500th figure.

I think though while I may be one of the people jumping the gun and coming to conclusions, it doesn't make sense for all the stuff to be ROTS, and just 3 figures (Luke, Han, and Vader) to be Classic.

I think the mistakes are like this:

Vader is MEDICAL CHAMBER VADER (not meditation chamber - though since that term's been around since 1980, it's an easy goof).

I red about a Medical Chamber playset where you "build" Anakin into Darth Vader and this would make an incredible 500th Figure that makes sense in light of an all-E3 shipping period.

Again, Han and Luke could be the pre-teen and infant versions, with Clone gear and an escape pod.

THE REVERSE ARGUMENT - they're classic figures:

Vader is in the Meditation Chamber (ESB) due to the 500th Anniversary being more appropriately dedicated to Classic Star Wars.

Han and Luke are their OT counterparts (geeze, hope for Carbonite Deluxe and Endor Deluxe versions - it's about time already!)

The rest of the main Classic Cast will be available (almost):

Leia - NO
Chewie - Yes
R2D2 - yes
C-3PO - eventually for sure
Darth Vader - yes
Obi-Wan Kenobi - the ROTS version, but yes, he'll be available in "Ewan-form"
Stormtrooper - the ROTS clones are pretty close

That takes care of the original 9.

Then:

Boba Fett? - No - but his Slave-One is out everywhere and there may yet be some secret E3 appearance.

Lando Calrissian - No - but you know how I think Han is a Clone and that it's possible for Lando, another main character who's origins have never been explained. It'd explain Lando's lack of fear of Boba Fett, as well as his skills.

Yoda - yes, definitely in multiple forms.

Palpatine - yes, also in multiple forms.

Jabba the Hutt - No - but not really relevant to this collection and the basic playing of Star Wars, plus a 2004 release, so he was just out there.

So therefore only 4 out of 14 basic main-characters from Classic Star Wars will not be available during the ROTS release.

SO OK - LUKE AND HAN MIGHT BE CLASSIC.

What about other prequel characters? Will almost the entire collection be available?

Anakin- yes
Obi-Wan - yes
Qui-Gon - no, unless a ghost figure becomes applicable
Padme - not yet, but quite likely. I think they are struggling with the pregnancy
JarJar - no, but likely at some point. I'm sure he'll fart in E3 or something like that.
Darth Maul - no, but we have more Sith and baddies than ever released for 1 movie
BattleDroid (standard) - probably. Just not up front, since there have been plenty.

Mace - yes
Yoda - yes
Dooku - yes
Kit Fisto (not a mainline, but included last time - and yes, so far as I've heard)
Jango Fett - No - but a clone with a removeable helmet is pretty close
Super Battle Droid - yes

OK - It's possible that Luke and Han and Vader in Meditation Chamber are the only OT figures we'll get in 2005 (for the spring-summer anyway) but the majority of the other main-stream characters will be available one way or another.

When AOTC came out in 2002, we got Bespin Luke, Bespin Vader, Qui-Gon, Endor Rebel Soldier, Han, Bepsin Chewie, Djas Puhr, Darth Maul, Ephant Mon, Teemto Pagalies, and Lott Dod, none of whom appeared in AOTC (unless you say the other Neimoidian is Lott Dod). It's entirely possible we'll get OT or TPM/AOTC figures a few weeks after the initial ROTS figures, with different movies listed on their nametags.

I believe the Anakin/Vader change will be either a regular figure or deluxe, hell, it has both on the list. I bet the ESB meditation chamber is what we'll get for number 500.

Did anyone see the prototype for the Palpatine figure from the Screen Scene? It looks great! He's posed in a battle stance and appears to have one ball-jointed arm (the right one). Here's the kicker... his face looks like the emperor's face!!

Not THAT is cool... :D

Sweet! It's on GH. It looks like his hair is all the way gone. Maybe he suffered the same fate as our good friend Anakin, and that's why he's got no eyebrows in ESB and ROTJ.

Cool fig, though.

Did anyone notice that one of the figs listed is an AT-TE gunner???/ Could that mean that an AT-TE is not far behind??????

I hope so!

I need one for my Battle of Geonosis diorama - and have reserved a space for it for 2 years already.

Meanwhile, at Comic Con, Hasbro said they would consider making it a Christmas 2005 vehicle depending upon how it is used in Episode 3.

I'd buy more than 1 if Lucas uses the vehicle on multiple planets:

Corsuscant: I don't see it unless the Separatists have actually penetrated the planet and landed troops in the beginning of the movie. As a staging diorama vehicle, sure - but that's a boring use for a toy with this kind of firepower!

Kashyyyk: definitely if the terrain allows for it. From what I've heard, the action takes place far from Rworwrookorryo City (spelling) - and it's not in the movie. Rather Wookiees that live closer to the planet's surface near Kashyyyk's oceans will be featured. Sure - there will be some tree-top-cities, but if surface features allow for AT-TE's, we might see them here.

Utpau: quite likely if Obi-Wan lands to confront Grevious with an Army of Clones at his command. It sounds like Kenobi pursues Grevious here without backup though - stupid on his part, but more dramatic anyway. I don't know if they'll use AT-TE's on Utapau.

Mustafar: Again, not sure. The high temperatures and lava might not go over to well on these surface vehicles. I think Anakin goes to Mustafar alone anyway. Not sure either.

Alderaan: forget it "Alderaan is peaceful. We have no weapons..." Maybe it wasn't during the Clone Wars (likely, because Alderaan was a major ship manufacturer before Kuat Drive Yards got Imperial contracts), but I don't think there will be a battle on Alderaan.

Dagobah: No.

Tatooine: No.

So there is a 4 in 7 chance we'll see AT-TE's on some planet in E3. Who can say how many?

I think they'd be cool on Utapau myself....

I think the list and all the images coming out are great.I'm excited to hear about all the Clone Troopers coming out in different styles and colors.Enough were not released for AOTC,so hopefully distribution will be on our good side :)

I hope there is a AT-TE,would really make a nice display with my Gunships.

One can only hope to get an AT-TE. That would make for a great vehicle. It only makes sense that they release one to go with the pilot. Although they did release alot of podracers with nothing to race in.

Death Star Gunner and no Death Star...

Cloud Car Pilot and no Twin Pod Cloud Car....

AT-TE Pilot and no AT-TE?

Well, we had Jawas and no sandcrawler until recently...

I'm gonna throw my hat in the ring and make a few predictions we'd all like to see:

First off, after reading the list, looking at the checklist made up from RS.com, I totally agree, there are figures like C3PO, Leia, and a pregnant Amidala that will show up.
My guesses are:

500th Vader- ESB Meditation Chamber...because of all the other Deluxe and Basic figures that would make up an operation room setting.
Han/Luke- it would be SO COOL if Han was the Clone host....but, with all the army building griping and fan interest I think these will be updates, VOTC-style, of the Stormtrooper disguises. Now, will Luke be slightly shorter with the proper, different belt? Hmmm? Maybe Luke could have a communication "thing" as well as the gun and helmet....hmmmm?
AT-TE- If the rumor I read about a 2-legged Clone Chicken Walker is true, we'll see a AT-TE this time next year. And I WILL buy 2....for AOTC and ROTS...I think this is why Hasbro would make this, a lotta double sales!
Cloud Car- we'll get one in 06, I bet.
R5D4- perfect figure for Toyfare in 02/06, with extra, removeable "damage"

I don't know about everyone else, but seeing the ROTS cardbacks, man, some great stuff is coming soon. And those Deluxe...if they are done right...man!

Even if Luke is a ROTS action figure (an infant, obviously - with the recarded escape pod most likely), I don't think there will be a ROTS Leia figure.

We do not know that the film will show Anakin (not Hayden, but him as Anakin) being fitted for the Vader suit. If it does not, it remains the 3rd chapter in a larger story that doesn't suggest Anakin is still alive until Chapter 5 (ESB). No one here is going to be surprised that (***Spoiler: Darth Vader is really Anakin Skywalker***) but the series could be made so that you can show it to a 3 or 4 year old who wouldn't know yet, and preserve the surprise for him just like it hit you when you were that age. A timeless family classic.

Along the same lines: Anakin will know Padme's pregnant, but I don't think they both know nor reveal that there are twins. Padme may be on Bail Organa's ship when she is dying and emergency c-section birth is required, but that doesn't mean that we'll see both children.

We will see Luke go with Obi-Wan, for sure. Afterall, Obi-Wan is Luke's "Grandpa" of sorts.

I still think Vader finds them and lets them go - why Luke's name is not changed. Or it could be Obi-Wan's hope that if Luke is discovered by the Empire, Vader (upon learning it is his son) will protect him in case Obi-Wan could not. The Emperor is the greater threat than Vader, and Obi-Wan knew it.

Mr. JabbaJohnL

I think they reveal that Padmé has twins, since the starwars.com databank said Bail and his wife had been looking to adopt. Since Padmé needed to get rid of the kids, Bail takes the girl and raises her like his own - she knows, though, that she was adopted (as seen in ROTJ - "Your real mother"). It's already been confirmed that Obi-Wan gives Luke to Owen and Beru, probably before he sets off for the Jundland Wastes to become a "crazy old wizard."

Anakin has no idea Padmé had twins ("So . . . you have a twin sistah . . . Obi-Wan was wise to hide her from me"), though he obviously knew she was pregnant. It'd be kind of hard to miss that, even if he was fighting in the wars for a long time.

The StarWars.com databank also says Exar Kun invented the double-bladed lightsaber. Funny, I didn't see him in the movie.

Just because Bail and his wife (will we see her? I'm curious) are looking to adopt, doesn't mean that fact will make its way on screen during the movie.

It's a good thought JabbaJohnL., but I hope they go the other way. But only time will tell.

http://starwars.com/databank/character/bailorgana/

However, the Bail Organa info I talked about is all in the "Movies" section, not "Expanded Universe." Exar Kun is only mentioned in the EU, right? There's a lot of stuff that never happens in the films that's in the databank, under the EU and BTS sections.

It's been confirmed that Bail Organa's wife will be played Rebecca Jackson Mendoza.

It seems like they're not exactly trying to hide surprises, seeing as how they're going to reveal Anakin is Vader. They might not say "Hmm, I'll name this girl Leia and her twin brother Luke," but I bet they'll show the twins.

Could this new Luke figure maybe be Luke as a child or baby? Then maybe there would also be a baby Leia? Only rational thinking I could have when I saw that on the list. I have no idea about Han, unless maybe hes seen on Kasykk? No idea. This stuff boggles my mind.
