I visited a Target in Conroe, Texas on 12-11-04. The Saga figures were marked down to $4.15. Is this markdown nationwide?

Perhaps it is a step toward further price reductions.

I think it's a nationwide mark down. Actaully the price is set to go up!

I live North of Conroe. Conroe and the Woodlands are the only decent places nearby to look for figures.

I was in a target last Friday in Pleasant Hill, CA and picked up an upside down Hoth Luke for $4.07. They also had the tie fighter for $16.99

I guess I am still lucky...the WM by me got more OTC in and they are still $4.77 each.

Selective SW toys were 10 percent off at Target last week, but no sale this week, as far as I know.

Still, the pegs at the Target I frequent the most are pretty bare.

I was at KMart yesterday and ALL SW toys were 10% off across the board (through Sat) and all the 12" VOTC AFs and vehicles were on clearance!
($24 for AFs, $42 for the Falcon, $16 for the Tie)

These ARE the droids you're looking for!

OTC is the ssame old price. The issue is with POTC, thats the price increase. Different asst. numbers is how they tell.

Okay, know what VOTC, and OTC is, but what what does POTC stand for? I just bought the scanning crew trooper at Walmart today, and it was still $4.77. But when I bought the three new cantina figs. at TRU yesterday they were already marked up to the $6.99 price. So I think it will effect all figures and Wal-mart just hasn't adjusted yet.

I also noticed that at TRU the OTC figures rang up as "SW E3 PREMOVIBASIC FI". Even though they were OTC.

Figure the day after Christmas for 30% off to start up on any SW stuff that has the letters "NCF" in the price description.

NCF within Target means Not Carry Forward.....aka bye bye Saga & OTC lines....and welcome to the POTC/Preview/ROTS line.

btw I asked a very nice employee what NCF means and she told me.

Nice. Now if I can find the figures I still need on sale (OTC Slave Leia, Tusken Raider, and Scanning Crew Member) that would be cool. I am going to look today to see if I can find anything I need.

I raised some hell at the local TRU once I found that the price increase had occurred. The POTC stuff was ringing up on the scanners as the EP3 preview wave, but no stickers were on the pegs to identify the higher cost. I bugged a floor supervisor enough to sell Yarua, Rabe, and Sly Moore for $4.99 instead since it was their fault the prices were marked incorrectly.

WM does have their prices higher as well. I found the Cantina Wave last night at a WM for $5.88 each. Each figure was in the computer as the individual name, as most OTC ones were at this store, instead of "Star Wars figure" or something generic. However, you should still be able to get them for the new clearance price of $3 (at least at my store) if the pegs aren't marked at all with the new price. If it's their goof up then call the store on it and make them fix the problem. :D

I saw some Vintage OTC 12" for $14.98 at Target in Indianapolis and in Michigan when I was at the In-Laws. Also had the Millenium Falcon for $34.98 in Michigan. Wal-Mart had Dodonna for $3.00, all other figures were gone, but they had the 3 3/4" Vintage OTC figures on Clearance for $7.00. Had lots of Obi-Wan, Han, and Leia, 3 Yoda, 3 Lando, 2 each of Vader and Fett, and 1 each of Luke and Stormtrooper. Toys 'R' Us had the POTC figures at $6.99 as well. The Wal-Mart here also had a peg of EPISODE I figures!! I checked the price on one of the price checkers and they came up at $6.74!!

I'm getting a little frustrated with the Tarjay's and Wally World's near me...Yes, they are having clearance, but I see the same figures all over the place. Pegs full of VOTC, which I'm not particularly interested in. Very few OTC figures are there if any, and no animated line either.

The Wal-Mart here had the Animated figures a few weeks ago for $5.55 each. They also had the 1st wave of the POTC figures as well.

I've seen those cups as well, a shelf full, but alas I passed on them as well.

I have not seen the cup/figure sets. If I had, I might have bought some for nastalgia(sp?) sake. I still have some of the glass cups from the OTC from back in the '80's.

Hey Rimmert- Welcome to the forums. :D
What kind of E1 figs did they have?

More of a welcome back. I have not posted much in the last year or so. My love for Star Wars grows as new movies approach and I have had some luck finding figures again. That must be why my post total is only at 4 now. Wal-Mart had: Battle Droid, Padme, Vallorum, Adi-Galla, Qui-Gon, and a few of the other common figures.
