View Full Version : How accurate are the audio translations on the DVDs?

I studied Spanish quite a bit in high school and college, and realized today how little I've retained after a few years of not using it. Living in the LA area as I now do, it would be quite helpful in my business dealings. I'm sure that a little practice will bring quite a bit of it back into my memory.

Long story short, I plan to watch the Star Wars DVDs using the Spanish audio option (subtitles would be helpful too, but it doesn't appear that they're an option). However, I've known some films to have very poorly translated alternate language tracks and am wondering before I sit down to undertake this task (and TPM in Spanish sounds pretty laborious, even if Jar Jar might have a different, less annoying voice) how accurately these films were translated into Spanish.

Any hep here would be hot.

TPM probably wouldn't be so bad if the Spanish track had Antonio Banderas' voice for Jar Jar instead of a latin Ahmed Best. ;)
