Yup. Now there are Star Wars blinds!

3 Day Blinds must have some fans in ownership / management:

You can order customized blinds from

The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi

and in May 2005, they will reveal their exclusive Revenge of the Sith product line.

The stuff includes the Movie and Teaser posters, orginal and Special Edition, as well as others (video release, etc) for each film.

It also includes character and spaceship shots, landscape battle scenes, etc.

I am actually going to consider these if they are still offering them in another year, if I can get my house by then.

I have theme rooms for my collection, by color coordination. And I like particular panoramic art, so it got me thinking about what I'd like:

White Room (Hoth / Bespin mostly) - the AT-AT Walker Advance blinds

Tan Room (Tatooine / Geonosis / Mustafar Prequels) - probably the Republic Gunship assault on Geonosis

Tan Room 2 (Tatooine Sequels) - I'd like Luke looking at the twin suns if they'll do this....Jabba's Palace possibly. A panoramic view of Mos Eisley maybe.

Olive Room (Naboo Swamp, Dagobah) - hmmm - the one of Yoda on the shore where the X-wing is crashed is tempting. So is the one of the Opee Sea Killer pursuing the Gungan Sub... I'd probably go with Dagobah.

Black Room -(Coruscant, the Death Star) the Star Destroyer - not really any question about that, though the Death Star is tempting...

Green Room 1 (Naboo) - the Trade Federation Tank looks very cool. But so do the Naboo fighters launching... I'd also love the Padme / Anakin Waterfalls scene as a possibility, or the two of them at the balcony before their first kiss. These choices fall into 2 very distinctly different emotional exposition categories, huh?

Green Room 2 (Kashyyyk, Yavin, Endor) - let's see if they do a panorama for Kashyyyk in Episode 3. That might rock. The Imperial base with AT-AT on Endor looks good. So would the Yavin Temples with X-wings and Y-wings taking off. As a matter of fact, I think I'd dig the starfighters best, against the green treetops. That'd look cool!

Blue Room (Kamino) - though not Kamino, the Opee and Sub could work nice here, as could Jango Fett standing in front of the row of Clones. An outside shot of Tipocca City, Kamino would rock though. I didn't see that one in their AOTC assortment yet.

I bet they can do any scene you want - as they have the licensing rights to Star Wars.

Is this a crazy idea or what? Are you guys going to buy any? Which ones? For what rooms in your house?

I visited the site several days ago and put in some trial measurements. I put in the largest window size (72" x 38" I believe) and the cost was about $380. That's not a bad price for having such cool blinds. I'd do it but I rent and the odds of getting the same sized windows when I move in a couple of years is slight but I'd really love to do it.

They kind of remind me of the Scarface blinds that Trick Daddy has in his house that showed on MTV Cribs.

Perhaps I would get them someday.I love the designs used for the blinds,if they turn out to form the picture half way decent when closed it would be great for an all SW room. The only problem would be moving and finding your cool blinds dont fit where you want them

Yes, if you rent, I don't recommend you buy these until you are really sure you are going to live in a house for a long time.

I wonder if they make them 2-sided, or if you can get that done.

I'd do the landscapes that I suggested I'd want for my interior view, but maybe I could put the Sith Lords on all my outside windows - so it would always look like someone was home, and door-to-door solicitors wouldn't mess with my house, as Darth Maul, Darth Tyranus, Darth Vader, and Darth Sidious would be poised to strike them!

Seriously, Vader and Royal Guardsmen would look good on the exterior windows! (stormtroopers maybe, but the Crimson Guard is just more regal).

I got all excited when I saw these on the SirSteves homepage. I went to the 3 day blinds site with measurements in hand, and found that they don't make blinds with the Star Wars print with a width of 102". They only go to 72", so I measured in smaller sections, and the cost would be around $750 to cover my dining room windows. Then I went to select the image I want, and for the size blinds I would need, they don't have all the images I want for that size. So instead of getting three blinds, one for the picture window, and two for the sliding side windows, I broke it into two equal size blinds, and I was able to get one of the two images I want, and it would cost me $25 more for the 2 blinds over the three blinds. I guess I'll just buy some blinds at wal mart and spraypaint "Star Wars" on them.

I would definitely like to get some of these, they look sweet. My parents said that if we move, I could have an extra room in the basement for SW, and if there was a window these look awesome in there. However it seems that there is always some reason for not moving to a specific house . . . oh well, hopefully they'll offer these for a long time so I can get them in a few years.
