View Full Version : Odd Japanese Micros (Mighty Jack)

Found these Japanese micros on a UK toy site, apparently from an old Japanese TV series, Mighty Jack.....
At £2.25 each they seem a bargain for the micro collector (I've just ordered the full set).
Does anybody know anything about them?
The site also sells a very impressive range of Micro Candy toys - well worth a look.

Interesting find BC3. I also noticed there will be not 6 but 8 different Galactica Gashapons by Konamis. I wasn't aware of the gold centurion and I wonder what could be the two others (2 secrets ?).
I've ordered three boxes of ten, I hope it will be enough to get one of each.
If you're looking for cool gashapons, Xl-shop is a good place to look at : http://www.xl-shop.com
By the way, for the micro-fans who robbed a bank recently, Bandaļ will re-release the amazing "Soul of Popynica" STARBLAZERS Yamato "Argo BPX-01" in die-cast metal with light & sound and opening parts, tiny fighters, etc... A true piece of art !
It will be available for a limited time at HLJ (for approx $180). Actual value on Ebay is between $300 & $600...

I do wish the Japanese would stop making "chase" items in these micro series - it really P**S's me off.
Hopefully the extra pieces will be figures (that I don't care about as I only collect vehicles).

It was a sixties Japanese SF TV series. Mighty Jack is the name of an enormous supersub that carries fighters and the sub itself can fly?! Sort of Seaview meets Skydiver in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea style adventures. Never seen it in the UK.
Imai did quite a large kit of the sub which I think Aoshima now has the moulds to. Comet Miniatures had a couple of them a few years ago.

Just added pics of the Johnny Lightening Trek ships to my site, as well as the new Romando Trek wave, Trek micro comparison pics and those Japanese Mighty Jack micros.
