Hi, sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, I had a look back but couldn't find a definite answer. I was given a VOTC (ROTJ) Stormtrooper for my birthday a few days ago, and it's the figure I dreamed of as a kid (no offence to fans of the original stormtroopers). I want to collect some sort of unit now, but have a few questions:

- Aside from the weapon, is the OTC (ANH) stormtrooper the same as the VOTC one? If not, what's different?
- Will old versions of the longer gun fit the VOTC stormtrooper? (should the otc figure be older and i want to build with just votc)
- More esoterically, is there any sort of famous organisation for stormtroopers, or can I just have a little group of five or six with one or two having the longer guns.

Thanks for your help!

The two are completely different. The VOTC (http://www.rebelscum.com/OTC-Vstorm.asp) looks more accurate and has more joints. The OTC (http://www.rebelscum.com/OTC16stormtrooper.asp) is the same as the COMMTech (http://www.rebelscum.com/POTF2CTstormtrooper.asp) & Troop Builder (http://www.rebelscum.com/swstormtrooperset.asp) figures; it's an older sculpt, and came with a bigger blaster. It's the same model gun as the VOTC one (the standard Stormtrooper sidearm), just sculpted thicker. The new gun is scaled closer to reality for the VOTC figure. As for arming the VOTC with long rifles, I do it; the grip is a bit thick for their hands, but it fits. Being that they're more poseable than the previous figures, they can wield it better, too.

The difference is articulation, gun and the paint job. I like the VOTC Better. I got 4 of them. Wanted more but at 10 a pop, too much money. Never seen them on clearance yet.
