View Full Version : So, is OTC over already???...

...Or will it continue on after the ROTS figures are released? I really hope that they don't mix the OT figures in with the ROTS figures, because then we'll get less characters. They should just continue making the OTC line and put them on the shelves with the ROTS figures. What do you guys think?

The OTC line is dead. I dont believe it will continue after ROTS. I believe they will go back to a saga-esque line. Hopefully they will go back to the card-backs from that line.

It's really a shame that they're ending the OTC line. They gave this line the best cardback/packaging of all of the lines and it was released for quite possibly the shortest time of all of the cardback variations. Thankfully it's being followed up by the ROTS cards which are a step below them.

Yeah, this sucks. I like the art of the lava and Vader on the ROTS cards. But the size and proportion of the card sucks! I can't even fit one in a star case because it is too wide! :( Anyway, I liked the OTC package myself.

I also love the card design for OTC/POTC. It's by far the best design in the modern line IMHO. Hasbro would do well to go back to it after ROTS.

BTW, is anyone else annoyed that we never got an AOTC card?

Star Wars = Yep 1978-1980
ESB = Yep 1980-1983
ROTJ = Yep 1983-1984
Episode 1 = Yep 1999-2000
AOTC = Nope! Just some stupid inserts in the soggy (Saga) line to denote that the figure was from AOTC! :mad:
ROTS = Yep 2005-????

DIE Hasbro DIE!!!

Yeah, I'm still bitter! :dis:

I'm annoyed that AOTC is the only movie not to have its own line.

Anyways, we will get a line after ROTS but it does not matter what it is called. Saga and OTC had a lot of similiarties, just different packaging.

In terms of packaging I think we can expect something similar to that of the OTC, once ROTS ends.

Yes, I agree. I would hope they would learn from their sloppy card mistake that they made this year. Disgusted for the preview figures right now.

Yeah, I'm kind of upset AOTC didn't have its own line, either. Like I've said before, it was the most cheated movie of the saga and it deserved better. But in some lights it did kind of get its own line, since the majority of the Saga figures were from AOTC. But it would have been nice if it had an AOTC Anakin/Vader transition picture on the card, kind of like the Vader/Obi-Wan pic on the POTJ cards.

grievous where did that line in your sig come from? Did you make it yourself or is it in EP. III

My sig comes from General Grievous' line in "Star Wars Clone Wars: Chapter 20", which is my favorite episode out of the series (so far).
