WTF IS AttackTix

I have no clue what these are but from the descriptiions ive read i think its another attempt to make kid "collect" something, but the def. of collect for these is spend hundreds of dollers trying t get them all, im not even geting close to these:crazed:

Attacktix is a gameboard type of thing. From what I can tell, its a stupid rip-off of the popular Clix line of game figures from Wizards of the Coast. The Clix ones look TONS better and haver easy to follow rules and include a gameboard to play on.

Basically (if they function like the Clix ones), you have the figures (which these ones seem to have working parts) that have a base they stand on. The base tells their attack points, hit points, etc. And you turn the base, rotate a knob, or whatever for how ever many hits that figure takes in the game. When you change the knob/base/whatever, it updates the stats to reflect their current status (so like if you get hurt, your attack strength won't be as good anymore, neither will your defense ability). And there are standard rules to follow as well. Think of it like a CCG (collectible card game), but using mini-figures instead.

Although I get the feeling that Attacktix is a cheap, easy, kids version of the game type. Probably setup so that little kids can understand it easily.

If Hasbro dies, who will make more Star Wars figures?

Actually, once they make all of the characters we need, I think Hasbro should really drop the line. They've had it for almost 10 years now (27 if you count the Vintage line) and I think they only need about 5 more to crank out all the things we still need (NO REPACKS!). Either way, they don't need it to last till 2018.
