Ok some needs to shine some light on what THIS IS????

Galactic Hunter posted some Toy Fair pics, and they are awesome! They are very detailed compared to the Hasbro ones, but they don't show the Mustafar playset or the ARC fighter.

But what is this thing?:

It looks to be an Anakin/Vader two-pack, but it's not the Deluxe version. What could it be?

Anyway, it looks like Hasbro is shaping up! :D Bring on April!

Yes, I just posted something about this about 4 minutes ago lol.

I just asked this question in the thread I just made....

I have no idea what this is. Is it a Toy Fair exclusive figure, like the Silver Darth Vader back in 2002?

02-19-2005, 06:32 PM
I know. Funny, isn't it? :)

02-19-2005, 06:35 PM
I would love it personally if it could be a figure they give out at the first showing....kinda like back in 97 when Theater Luke was given out....

02-19-2005, 06:43 PM
Yeah, but the package is way too big to be a theater promotion. Theaters wouldn't want to have hundreds of those packages lying around.

It can't be the 500th figure, either.

I honestly don't know. I'm going with my first guess in saying that it's a Toy Fair exclusive.

Rebelscum's description of it insinuates that this is Hasbro's Toy Fair 2005 exclusive figure like the Silver Vader was in '02. Hope SWShop offers these on their site as well!!

It was Hasbro's "Press Kit" That they gave to collectors on a first come first serve basis. When you open the insert door, Anakin spins around to reveal Darth Vader. It's pretty Damn sweet.

I went ahead and merged DQ's thread and this one together. Please try to scan the boards for anything that could be an answer to your questions. The boards are going to be on fire thanks to Toyfair and this REALLY helps the mods from merging same discussion threads! Thanks everybody! :D

Steve also added a crap load of pics here as well. Go to the front page.

I want to see some detailed pics of the ARC fighter.

I'm getting sick of seeing some of these figures. I mean some of them are just either lame are boring. The jedi pretty much put me to sleep.

I just want my OT figures. I can't wait until the OTC packaging comes back out with the rest of the missing OT figures. Then and only then will the world be perfect. :crazed: :D

02-19-2005, 07:37 PM
That is amzing. I need one.

02-19-2005, 08:00 PM
I would like to get one of these(edit:as in this i mean the TF exclusive). My fav vehical is the ARC fighter, my favorite fig would be R2 or maybe the clone trooper.

02-19-2005, 08:51 PM
This looks really sweet!! The only problem would be for us MOC collectors. This thing looks pretty flimsy but other than that it's quite unique.

Wowie! That'll fetch big bucks on eBay!

The ARC 170 looks great, too! :D

Most everything looks great. It's nice to see more this year comapared to last year. I was looking forward to seeing the AT-TE gunner and the Clone Commander up-close, but no one (SSG, GH, Rebelscum) seemed to take any pics ***Hint, Hint** SirSteve if you're going back to the TF can you take a few pics of these guys please?***cough cough*** :D

My wallet tried to hold me at randsom:cry: :p

I agree that many of the jedi look lame. Plo Koon, Saesee Tiin, and Ki-Adi Mundi are pretty much the same as their AOTC figures, except for the cloth. The one that stands out the most out of all of them is Agen Kolar.

How 'bout $2,000?! That's what this seller is asking for it:

There's even a video clip showing how the thing works, and a detailed description of how they were distributed at the Toy Fair. Very cool, but I'll pass...

02-21-2005, 12:09 PM
What a a-hole! I hope SWshop.com puts a load of them up for sale. The set really doesn't do much for me. I'm not saying I don't want one, but I wont be upset I can't get one. I'm not too sure I'll be getting all the ROTS figures anyways.

02-21-2005, 12:09 PM
Yea, I think I would rather drop 2000 bucks on lots of OTHER figures than just one.

02-21-2005, 12:12 PM
but it come with 2 figures!lol Now that's a bargain, $1000 each, I'm out of here to place a bid! Thanks for making my mind up.

I am soooooo glad I'm not a carded collector anymore. That looks very cool but with such a limited run it would never get to a price I could pick it up for.

02-21-2005, 01:08 PM
This guy is such a tool. Why do people think that because it's tough to find now it won't get easier in the very near future. I mean look at the Luke Theater Edition. Those were going for $200 now you can get 'em for $20.

This is a really cool idea though with the rotating figure. I only wish it had been a mass release.

02-21-2005, 01:30 PM
I don't know if I would call him a tool. He probably could care less about Star Wars and thinks collectors are tools because while it might not sell for $2000 it will sell for a lot. If I had free promo items that I could sell on ebay for hundreds of dollars I would to.

02-21-2005, 02:42 PM
What I don't understand is, why the hell is the box so big? It's like a friggin' shoebox!

02-21-2005, 03:14 PM
The other thing is, in his little video clip, it doesn't look like it rotates completely around like it should...

It'll be interesting to see what it ends up selling for, but I could care less about owning it. I pretty much turned the collecting over to my son now, and we're pretty selective about what we buy. We've got close to one of every carded figure from Episode 1 up to the 1st couple of OTC waves, and a nice assortment of Freeze Frames and Red/Green POTF2, but these days we pass on figures which just look crappy, like Rabe, which just looks awful. We stick to only nice sculpts/paint jobs, and a few army builders here and there.
