Royal Guard Gun Variation?

Okay, last night my wife came home and brought me a couple figures from Wal-mart. She found the Red and Blue Royal Guard. Upon examination I noticed that the Blue Guard's pistol trigger guard was bent so he holds that as well, yet the Red Guard's pistol was like the Biker Scouts - fully foirmed so the trigger guard wraps around the hand. Is this a variation of the pistol or a case of packing the figures too quickly and bending the gun in the figures hand?

The Guide at SirSteves and at Rebelscum show only the bent gun version....yet it is a Biker Scout gun....Hmmm.

I have red and blue guards and both have the bent and unbent pistol grips.

I assume that the unbent version is supposed to be correct. If nothing else, it looks better.

I bet anything that the unbent version is "correct" and the bent version is simply someone clearbanding the gun into the hands wrong. Mine had the gun around the hand, "unbent".
