Will there be/ should there be action figures based on my closet favorite charcters (besides Thall Joben and Kea Moll) Chewbacca's family from the Holiday Special /Storybook? Grampa Itchy, his hot mama Malla, Art Carney from the trading post...li'l Lumpy (Chewie's kid). www.stomptokyo.com (http://www.stomptokyo.com)

They'll be released on Life Day. If Life Day isn't celebrated in your area (due to "activist judges" ;) ), then you'll have to resort to Ebay to find the Wookie family. Of course there is always a shortpacked figure in the wave, and this time it is Bea Arthur.

i would kill for a Itchy figure. it would be 10 times better than any other wookine toy.

would that be the regular version from the holiday special, or the rare golden girl version?

Someone should customize them...

Ahem...although not customs these are actual pictures of the prototype figures that were made. They are all pretty much Chewie with a little bit of sculpy. Link (http://www.toysrgus.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=48815)

Wow, what terrible mock-ups!
I think using various Chewie figures, maybe mixing and matching parts and probably using sculpy as well some talented customizer could make this line.
Hasbro should do it, though. They should make a Special Limited Collector's Set of Chewie's family, a new Chewie, a new Han and include the Holiday Special on DVD! They'd sell, like...10 copies!

Given George's opinion of the Holiday Special, I'd say we will never see anything from it. I think George said he'd like to smash every last copy of it. And having recently read a pretty detailed description of it (I've never seen it), I agree with him.

And having recently read a pretty detailed description of it (I've never seen it), I agree with him.You are fortunate to have just read about it. Although I must admit it's one of those things every SW fans should watch at least once in there lifetime. Kinda like the pilgrimage to Mecca or something.

I saw the HS when it originally aired but it's a fading memory now. I wouldn't mind seeing it again. The only figure I'd like to see made from the Special would be an animated version of Boba Fett.

yeah, tat would be a cool figure to have. i think the cartoon is the only reason to even watch the special. i happen to own it on video and the cartoon and the commercials for the original star wars toys(funny stuff) are the only reasons i still haven't recorded over it.

Dude, they did. Sure it "came out" during the Doids/Earwax cartoon series but it was the same tired old Boba Fett with the glued on plastic red bullet as well as the same old SWPOTF coin painted gold the pic on the blister pack was the cartoon Boba we all know and love!! Hasbro should bring out a new EU line with just the "other" characters (no more Lukes & Leias Jedi) but just feature the DOIDS/EARWAX crew, Mara Jade, Admiral Thrawn, Xizor, Dash Randar, etc. No wait, bad idea, we'll never get to see those at TRU,Target, etc.

I really need to see the Special, but I guess it's not going to happen until I get DSL or something....

I inherited a copy of the Holiday Special from my deceased Star Wars fan friend and thought I'd watch it again after all these years as a way to celebrate my friend - sort of a SW wake.
I got as far as the Jefferson Starship video on the Wookie TV and then turned it off, smashed it in the garbage disposal, and smacked myself for doing that. Even a fifth of Bourbon cannot make this fun. When I was 10 years old I could handle watching this, but now...not even nostagia can make this bareable.
Pull your toenails out with pliars before subjugating yourself to this. :ermm:

No...no you don't. Do yourself a favor and spend that 2 hours doing ANYTHING else. Really. :)

I have wanted a wookie family holiday special cinema scene for years. It would be amazing if they did it.

I too saw it when was on all those years ago. I had memories of it being about a 1/2 long. Then a buddy of mine got a copy two years ago and we started to watch it. 2hrs later it ended. I couldn't believe it. It was great to see it again but WOW...it was so much better when I was a kid. LOL.

Just reading this thread is giving me some serious flashbacks, and its not good. This HS is a disaster, a tragedy, a total mess. If you have not seen it then please do not put yourself through it. The cartoon is fine, but that makes up only about 5% of the entire program. Avoid it at all costs....

Are we gonna see art carney in rots?
It's compareable to eating a tube of preperation H.
And two words......wookie porn.
