View Full Version : This is why I keep losing Ebay auctions

This just rigoddamndiculous. I found this site via another board I'm on and this is the first I've heard of them. People actually PAY a site to snipe your auctions whether it be Ebay or any other auction site. As the first line states, this is bull crap. (http://www.auctionsniper.com/)

So it just keeps adding bids incrementally until it beats the highest? This sounds like a service that doesn't do anything special. I think the best way to win will be to always enter your maximum with about 15 seconds to go. If you win, fine, lose, there will always be another one!
If you use this service you could wind up paying more than you wanted! What if you and I both used it on the same item?

That is the way I have been bidding for years. Snipe it at the last minute for what I am willing to pay. If I win I win. If not so be it. I see no sense in getting into an unnecessary bidding war with an ebay n00b and driving the price way over what it could be.

I can do that for free, dont need anyone to do it for me.
Someone sniped me on the Shuttle Tydirium last night. :(
But I didn't want to pay more than 151.09 anyway.

I would have alot more football cards in my collection if it wasn't for stuff like this. I'm pretty sure it does not happen everytime I have lost an auction, but in the sportscard business it happens very often.

Huh, I use www.esnipe.com
Its a great service. Just tell it the most you want to bid, then at the last possible second, it bids the highest amount & you win.
I dont see what the big stink is. Don't sit there & bid over & over driving the price up.... Just wait til the last possible second or use esnipe (they guarantee you win or you pay nothing!) and get it for what you want to pay for it!!!
Both of those sites suck. I only use www.wesleysnipes.com

"Always bet on black!"
It really is awesome Jon, for fifty bucks Wesley Snipes will come to your house and bid on auctions for you.

Is there a similar service where Kris Kristofferson will bid on auctions for you? That'd be way kewl.
05-03-2005, 04:17 PM
Yeah, but Kris only charges $10.00!
What can I say, he needs the money. ;)

and he'll sing "me and bobby magee" while he does it!
but for the same money, christopher walken will just intimidate the other bidders until they withdraw their bids, thereby saving you money in the long run.
