Medical Vader variant/error

I saw four medical table vaders on the shelf this morning.
Two had a glossy painted head and two had a flat matt finish head.
Is this a variant or a running change?

I noticed the paint differences on the head too. I have the glossy version.

i also bought the glossy one.
the scars on the head are more prominent
the other one is real , uh , orange

I bought the glossy one as well. The thing that sucked though, is that whole case, apparently came with only one of the eyes painted on the helmet. I had to "fix" mine... *sigh*
