View Full Version : Who has the best Avatar?

PloKoon2385

Out of all the Avatars, which one do you like best? I really don't know, personally. I of course like mine, I like the picture of Plo. It is the coolest. I dunno though. Check around, see for yourself...

Um, would I be counted as an idjit if I admitted that I'd never noticed the red shirt on LTBasker's avatar had I not been looking for the two images he mentioned? :sur:

I like my buffed up Yoda avatar.

Jargo
01-10-2002, 07:50 PM
Hmmm, as a major contributor of avatars here I have to say that I like all the star park ones.

I liked the animated mace Windu in flames one until I realised the unfortunate non PC aspect of having a black man burning so I ditched that one permanently. I liked the xmas Ben Quadinaros one I used too.

I tried to make one that had Anakin transfoerm from boy to teen to vader to old anakin to spirit anakin but I couldn't get it to work.

I'm currently going through each icon I made in turn changing them daily. No point them being there if they aren't going to any use is there? :D

I only noticed it a short while ago too

I have about 20-20 icons I've made, but I havent gotten around to using them yet! :(

Although I did like the one that Sirsteve had with the yellow circle face guy holding a sign pointing to his username with the sign reading "I'm with him" or something,I cant remember but I liked that one the best :)

All of them are pretty cool!

But once I figure out how to make these things for myself, I'll put all of yours to shame

:)I love my new one,And as i noticed theres always new ones,in the starpark one.Good work avtar workers. Will there be an ephant mon one in the furture?

Jargo
01-11-2002, 02:31 PM
With so many star park avatars already I don't know if SirSteve wants any more.
I'm working on completing every notable character from the saga but some are hard to achieve like Ree Yees the three eyed goat headed guy and Ephant Mon because his head is as tall as his body. I can have a go for you Mylow if you really want one.
That's how the Barada, Sebulba, Nien Numb and Jango unveiled ones got made. :)

And editing in this comment I have to say I'm chuffed to bits that people like the avatars I made and that so many are being used. That's enough for me. though the praise is nice too :D

To get your own custom avatar you must first get at least 75 posts here. But don't post pad. That's job is for both me and GNT alone.

Go to User CP: Edit Options: Change Avatar then upload the file you want to use with the Browse button.

BTW, PloKoon, you might want to pick one or the other for your avatar; because it looks a little cluttered up there. You can change them out every week if you can't decide which one you like best.

I like mine because Tycho really looks like he's thinking in this one, and I do a lot of thinking before I post something and try and make sure I have something intelligent to say or contribute to the discussion somehow.

This really is Capt. Tycho Celchu of Rogue Squadron, and not Han Solo as some people might have thought for whatever reason. [That Han is my favorite SW character might be a good reason.]

A simple piece of useless information here might be that Tycho really admires Han and looked up to him, so the 8 year junior of Solo (or more - not sure of Tycho's exact age) dresses like Han purposely (or subconciously).

You do make a considerable effort to put forth worthy arguments (as misguided as they might be ;) ). It's nice to have a discussion with someone who takes the time to craft opinions with reasoning behind them instead of dealing with naysayers who just toss out rambling disjointed tirades. Keep the avatar.:)

Thanks for the compliment Kid. Nice seeing you in a thread where we can take a break from our 'galactic battleground.' It's very hard not to get frustrated 1) trying to explain your own opinion clearly to another and 2) trying to pursuade them to adopt yours. I'm proud we've been able to respect each other and not devulged into many personal attacks in the Family Tree thread (for the most part). But I'm sure I'll see you back there, as we're do for another round. I can't just leave you as "misguided" as you are. You'll live without ever understanding Star Wars. And what a tragedy that would be!

See you there!

Yes, that's handcrafted work. I just took a photo of a Biker Scout into Photoshop and traced a couple of lines, then turned the photo layer opacity to zero. Poof!

I vote to give PlasticFetish the April 2008 award for Best New Avatar. I love the use of the classic "letters" stickers that we used to get with a pack of Topps Trading cards. Not so much. Short Round was an invention by Mr. Steven "I'm now a Dad" Spielberg who wanted to inject a bit of "cuteness" into the new epic saga. Thankfully, he figured out his mistake before making Crusade and true fans weren't subjected to ET-style "what a cute kid" nonsense again.

Indy could have easily jumped the shark with Temple of Doom, but the saga was redeemed. whew!

HOLY ***T! I can NOT believe you changed your avatar! I'm literally sitting here in shock and now I won't be able to go to sleep, seriously!

whoa...Sorry to put such a strain on your system. ;) I knew when I saw that image I had to use it, it was fated to me.

(giggle)

I've been meaning to make a comment about that... or maybe a joke... but I've been having a hard time getting my mind to deal with that image.

So much facial hair... and WTF are they sitting on?It's an old satellite dish pole flying through the sky.

I think I was gone that year ;)I was sporting the Darth Stewie 'tar from May until the episode aired in September.

JT should bring back his walkin' AT-AT from '01The ultra-shrunk one? It's in the 'tar gallery, I believe, and I didn't use it for long because I didn't make it, only shrunk it down. I did however make and sport the transforming stick-body Droideka which is also in the gallery.

Thanks JT.

Now it is media enhanced!!! :DExcellent work with the wav link!

You don't like Snarf, Orko, or Chim Chim, either, do you?
