In memory of our dear friend and fellow collector Marilyn Guyote aka "r2dee2" who passed away (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/news/?m=show&id=31335) last month, SSG will be hosting charity auctions from users who wish to participate by donating all auction proceeds to Marilyn's family's choice of charity, the Pike's Peak Hospice and Palliative Care (http://www.pikespeakhospice.org/) where Marilyn spent her final days.

Charity auctions will be the sole responsibility of the seller, sellers can accept payments in whatever form the choose so long as they donate the proceeds to the Pike's Peak Hospice and Palliative Care charity, sellers can even choose to receive winning bidder's checks or money orders already made out directly to the charity.

To participate with your own r2dee2 charity auction, simply sign up for SSG Auctions, then create your auction in the "Charity" category. Please mention that all proceeds of the auction go to the charity, put a link to the Pike's Peak Hospice and Palliative Care's donation information (http://www.pikespeakhospice.org/foundation.asp?pageid=0%7C9) via this HTML code:

<a href="http://www.pikespeakhospice.org/foundation.asp?pageid=0|9" target="_blank">Pike's Peak Hospice and Palliative Care donation information</a>
and of course mention that the auction is in memory of Marilyn "r2dee2" Guyote. SSG will credit auction fees on all charity auctions that have postive feedbacks from both the buyer and seller of the item auctioned. Credit requests can be sent to: auctions@sirstevesguide.com

I don't know if I should be responding here but here goes. I'd like to start an auction but can't sign up due to me having a Yahoo account. I was wonderin' if it would be possible to send my items to someone that has a valid account so they can place them in an auction.

Yes, you could do that, though that'd be between you and them of course, but now you can sign up with a freemail account using a paypal account as verification.

Thanks for clearing that up. I checked last night and it wouldn't let me. I'll hopefully have my items up tomorrow.

JT, I have to go through some stuff and will get it posted. I have some VOTC stormies that will go up there. Hopefully it will make for a nice donation.
