I think we got another Tuesday (or is it Monday in some places of the world?) of May releases left after the holiday weekend. So let's roll out this customary thread for next month's releases. Makes for somewhat interesting reading and such. :beard:

June 7
Rescue Me - The Complete First Season
Sling Blade - Director's Cut

June 14
Casino - 10th Anniversary Edition
Jaws - 30th Anniversary Edition

June 21
Dark Water (this is Nakata's film, the Japanese original, not to be confused with our silly American remake)

June 28
The Twilight Zone (1980s) - Seasons 2 and 3

Wow, I don't really see anything that I'd actually buy in June.
Thank goodness 'cause I'm broke.

Off the top of my head I need The Sopranos Season 5 and Be Cool.

The only thing that interested me out of that list is the Jaws 30th anniversary. I wonder if it was redone digitally? Anyways, I already preordered Sopranos Season 5 so thats what I got coming in June, which would be the first DVD/Set that I've gotton in a while.

While it actually comes out on May 31st lets not forget everybody's favorite movie that combines child custody, truckers and arm wrestling........OVER THE TOP!

Yeah, too bad you won't watch it with us, Jim Jam.

I liked the movie Hostage but I doubt I will get it on June 21 . . . maybe if Bruce Willis had that crazy gray beard throughout the whole movie I would pick it up. lol

That Daily Show DVD release might be worth a look ?

Found another one I am interested in:

June 28
Exterme Horror Two-Fer - Dead and Buried / Two Evil Eyes

Two 2-Disc sets (4 discs total!) for $20, and one is a Romero/Argento directed movie, as well. Best bargain of the month.

Good choice, plus Dead and Buried is a fun little picture !

June 7
Sopranos: Complete 5th Season
Stripes - Extended Cut

June 14
Casino - 10th Anniversary Edition

June 28
Extreme Horror Two-Fer - Dead and Buried/Two Evil Eyes

-The cool thing about this pack is both versions are the Blue Underground Limited Edition releases which contain the digitally remastered soundtracks, both of which I've wanted for some time now, looks like waiting paid off. :)

I'm pretty excited about one of the extras on the Two Evil Eyes disc too "At Home with Tom Savini": A personal tour of Tom Savini's home. That should prove to be interesting to say the least. :crazed:

Oh, so you get the limited edition packaging, too ?

Or just the disc content ?

Based on these pictures everything looks to be exactly the same as the single Limited Editions, they're just bundled together. Here are pictures of each individually and then together in the "Two-Fer."

I have a question for you guys: Where do you get your lists of new releases from?

The only place I know of is DVD Planet, but the release lists are filled with all sorts of re-releases and such. I have to sift through a 20+ page list each week to see what's coming out - I couldn't imagine sifting through 100+ pages to get a months worth!

----

Anyways, to answer the thread - nothing interests me yet in June. I did pick up Samurai Champloo #3 today, but that was released on the 31st so I guess it doesn't count lol

I collect my list from all over the place. Usually I see news about a DVD release months in advance and I then add that to my DVD Wishlist. Then I just check that out each month.

Also note that these lists do not compile all the releases for each week. Though I cannot recall ever seeing any lists online that give every released title for a week.
