This is pretty strange stuff, but I couldn't help laughing:

Only problem is, they seem to characterize the SW Holiday Special as bad, or something. I don't get it.

:Pirate: Arr?

Even pirates know the SW Holiday Special is bad. ;)

I just want to see it for myself! Not own it, just view it. Is there a website that will let you do that? I will say this phrase, right now, and see if it remains true after I see the thing:

"It can't be that bad, can it?"

Perhaps I will be mistaken, but until then, I'm sticking to it. BTW, former Pirates' pitcher John Smiley likes the Holiday Special, JT! :) :Pirate: So do Bob Walk "the Plank," Willie Star-Wars-gell, and HonuS-foils Wagner. (Ouch) :D

Another Star Wars/LOTR joke:

(gotta love Anakin's furry feet :) )

"It can't be that bad, can it?"

It's worse. Much much much much much worse. Just God awful. You don't want to see it, trust me. Just continue to live your life without any mention of this, ever again. Its just so bad....

Another LOTR spoof/ode: If anyone watched the NFL wildcard games on Saturday, they did a very large ad which was basically a Lord of the Rings promo spot. It was called "Lord of the Ring" and it featured songs from the movie, scenes from the movie, and pro football players in a middle-earth type setting.

the SW Holiday Special ends with Carrie Fisher singing words to the main Star Wars theme!!! And she's pretty bad too, not like in that ep of Laverne and "Left-the-show" where she's a Playboy bunny (btw, woo woo, hubba hubba! :D) And that weird holo-porn thing Chewbacca's dad uses that has Diahann Carroll in it... Harvey Korman as an alien Julia Child... Bea Arthur as the other cantina bartender flirting with the drunk aliens... oh the horror! I had to scrub my eyes with brillo pads for weeks before I got THAT out of my brain.

Actually, no matter how bad it is, it's a must-see for any Star Wars fan just to see the actors in those parts one more time, especially an over-makeuped Luke with his original face (before Mark Hamill's accident and reconstructive surgery right before ESB started filming).
