Thank God that it's gonna be an animated movie and not some Scooby Doo or Flintstones live action crap. I don't see how they can come up with an original story for the movie seeing as the show has probably covered just about every topic in it's TV run but it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

I have low expectations already.
The show is still pretty good, but nowhere near as funny as it was 10 years ago.

They're going to have to something pretty sweet out of their hats if this is going to work.

You're dead on Rocketboy, the Simpsons ten years ago was prime. I'm not sure what they will do to hold our attention for 90ish min? The other thing is this will be done at the same time as the show so it could cause the show to slip further.

The show hasn't been good for the last 3 years. The new season right now is completely un-watchable. If they're actually going with a movie then it better be damn good, but you know what, I highly doubt it will be.

I'm very skeptical. They don't even seem to know what's going on. In that Yahoo article, Cartwright says they just did a table read of the script, yet the studio rep says they're hammering out the script.

Whatever. Maybe they should focus on just doing one thing at a time. They're having hard enough time coming up with decent shows lately. If a movie never gets made I wouldn't care.

watched this the other night on FX... not a bad movie has some good parts but 2 hours was a little too much. still it makes me laugh so it's a plus in my book
