I just wanted to let everyone know what my local WM store did. I went to WM today and found that they had shrunk down the SW display like everyone has been saying. I found deluxe wave 3 and was pretty happy. I decided to go look at other toys and there it was, an endcap full of SW figures. Commander Bacarra was sitting at the front of one of the pegs staring at me. I quickly grabbed him and started searching for the other 2. It took me a couple of minutes, but I managed to find R2-D2 and Anakin Mustafar. What a great haul.

So just remember, check the endcaps in your WM stores for figures. You might get lucky the same as I did.

I found the Tarkin wave for the first time at my local WM yesterday.

Man, that figure looks just like Tarkin in ROTS - craptastic!

Yeah, I noticed that my Wal-Mart had shrunk the section to half the size, with a bunch of figures from the Fantastic 4 movie taking up the other half. When I went in the other day, I saw the pegs crammed with figures, and first had thought they had just consolidated the pegs, but was delighted to find instead figures 48, 49 and crispy 50! That were all gone (newest three) by the time I went to lunch.

Same here, they arent on an endcap, but they have them in three different aisles in one store and on an island in another. Have found lots of goodies in WM lately such as Tarkin wave and tons of SA clones and even an ARC-170. Good stuff.

Thanks for the heads up. All local Stores, not just Walmart, have shrunk those main displays so it's probably a good idea to walk the circuit around all the toy sections to be sure.

Same goes with my WM. I would only add that they've already clearanced most all ROTS Lego sets and the remaining 12" line (3 Sidious, 1 Barris) is marked down to $12 each!

I too found the Anakin Mustafar wave yesterday, and picked up 1 Commander Bacara. This morning the rest of the new figures in the wave were gone. Deluxe seems to be selling well, as they restocked yet again yesterday w/Clone 3-packs, operating table Vader, spider & crab droids, Stass Allie, etc.

Yeah, the ROTS displays at the WM's by me have definitely been shrunken. You guys are lucky that the Anakin Mustafar wave has hit your WM, I haven't seen anything yet, but I will check it out today.

Keeping the faith, hopefully they will start hitting my area soon as well. I talked to one of the employees at target, she said there not putting out as much SW figures due to the demand of the fantastic four...bull s**t....

It really was the attack of the clones at our Wal-Mart two days ago. No new stuff, but tons of clones, #6 and #41. Got three of the SA clones to customize into a shocktrooper, 501st, and Utapau styles. There were still tons left, but no Tarkins or anything like that. Just lots and lots of clones. By the way, does Bacara have a removable helmet?

I think its a little ridiculous that stores like WM are really trying to push the Fantastic Four and Batman Begins toys, when it is clear that ROTS is more popular and way more in demand. I hope a trip later today to WM will yield some hopeful finds, such as 45+ figures.

I agree, there is no reason to condense the Star Wars section. They have to know that they are going to sell way more Star Wars than anything else this summer. The age group interseted in collecting Fantastic 4 and Batman has to be much more narrow, and even if its not, the number of fans is.

I noticed that TRU did the same thing when I was there a week ago, only it was worse. There was a whole wall devoted to Batman. No wonder there goin' out.:dead:

i agree. when i went to WM, i was really shocked how tiny the SW section was. i was OMG and right next to it all Fantastic 4 stuff. i was sad since WM's figure are more cheaper than the other retailers. now their quantities are limited...boo for WM!

do u think once batman and F4 dies out in theaters they will bring back the SW sections?

I also found 48-50 yesterday at WM. I only saw 2 Bacarra's, but there were at least 6-8 each of Crispy and R2...

I think it's smart what WM is doing. I'd rather see a smaller SW section constantly getting replenished then half an aisle full of pegwarmers. That's what my local WM's seem to be doing. I think they actually got it right this time. And c'mon - ROTS has been out over a month now...everyone's seen it. The hype IS starting to die down a little bit, but we're still getting a good flow of product. (At least my stores are...) I don't know why some of you are ripping on Fantastic Four. I'm not really into it either and the figures don't look that great - but it IS going to be a big box office hit, so it only makes sense to have the toys out. They may be overdoing it a little, but still, the younger kids are really into the superheros these days, and they'll be snatching them up as soon as they see the movie.

The helmet is not removable, per se, but the whole head can be taken off, since it is ball-jointed.

I tried to put the head and gear from Bacara on the super poseable clone(41) but his helmet rubs on his shoulder pad and the rear antenna on his back won't fit right.

Always check endcaps first. When their "tied into" the planogram they have to be filled before the home (the normal spot in the aisle).

Bacara head.. it fits a little loose on the SA trooper, i do not know how to get the 'skirt' to fit on the SA .it was easy to make a SA clone commander.

Sorry this is a little off topic, but since you brought up SA Clone Commanders, does anyone know what Commander Appo looks like? I know he's the 501st commander. Is he just a standard commander with blue trim? I'd like to make one as well as a commander Bly.
