I would say we are ok in that # 1-32 was really "April" though many of us got figures over 32 that month.
33-40 was "May" and some of them sold and some have slowed down, but most of "April's" are gone by today.
41-47 seems to be "June" and some are still selling fast. Due to his lack of use in the movie, the Niemoidian Warrior is the only slow-down figure in June's batch. As we hit July, nothing but #42 is pegwarming. I predict that will change. Those having trouble getting Ask Aak and Tarkin STILL, will find them pegwarming by August if it follows the pattern. Only the instant gratification situation here has folks worried their area is not getting figures.
48-50, while many of us have them already (Mustafar Anakin, Bacara wave), they are relatively new and don't stay on the racks very long. I'd expect 51-53 or even higher to hit this month (July) and be more readily found by August - if the above pegwarmers sell out enough that store computers order more.
It's slowing, but I think it's still moving predictably and acceptably.
Sooooo... I just hit Target on my lunch break here in Chicago, IL. I was looking for Bacara, but all I found was (I literally counted) 49 Niemoidian Warriors, 7 Wookie Warriors, 11 Red Palpy, 13 Clone Pilots, and 23 more figs consisting of Super Battle Droid, Chancellor Palpatine (prisoner), Mas Ameeda, Chopper Droid
and Agen Kolar. So with 103 figures sitting on the shelves, a Target "team leader" said that he won't "restock the pegs with new shipments until the items get down to below 45 figures." He also told me that they had like 9 boxes of 3 3/4" figs in the back room that he isn't putting out until that happens. With the typical peg warmers being the ones that make up the bulk of that number, it seems like that store will never restock.
Anyway, that's my list of the typical peg warmers in my area.

Probably the only reason why the Destroyer Droid isn't a huge pegwarmer is because to the thousands of Wookiee and Niemoidian Warriors I only saw three Droidekas.

In my area there was actually a really good selection of most of the figures up through the SA Trooper wave. Less than a month later I can only find the following:
Bail Organa
Chancellor Palpatine
Palpatine (35)
Mas Amedda
Wookie Warrior
Polis Massan (very few)
and a winner by a landslide...Neimoidian Warrior.
They're like a plague, infecting our SW figure pegs.
As far as deluxe goes all I see are transforming Palpatines and Stass Allie with a smattering of OR Vaders and Can-cel Yodas every now and then but they go quickly.

It's pretty much the same around here.
Bail
Mothma
Palps 35
and the big winner
Clone Pilots.
They literally have tons of these suckers around me.

What's interesting to see is:
1) there's no one to fight. Aside from Basker spotting Grievous' bodyguards,
most stores need more enemies: droids and clones, not to mention Sith.
2) there's no heroes: this is not "The Adventures of Shaak-Ti." It is the adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. If I had 0 SW figures, I wouldn't start with Polis Masan!
So with 103 figures sitting on the shelves, a Target "team leader" said that he won't "restock the pegs with new shipments until the items get down to below 45 figures." He also told me that they had like 9 boxes of 3 3/4" figs in the back room that he isn't putting out until that happens.
Jax, I fully support you holding this guy down and getting him a lobotomy!
If you are a kid, you can imagine Anakin taking down 5-10 Niemoidian Guards - if you can buy Anakin.
I find it hard to imagine the Polis Masans vs. the Niemoidian Guards "and this is why I like Star Wars."
Now if they want to refresh their sales, put the other boxes out - THAT'S WHY HASBRO HAS SHIPPED THEM NEW ANAKINS! (Mustafar or otherwise).
As to the Niemoidian Warrior? It's a good figure. I think people only buy 2 of them even if they are diorama builders, as that's all the use they saw. (I only needed 2 of them myself). Is anyone NOT buying this figure at all? If that's not the case, then they should be selling - especially when you can't buy Nute Gunray or any other Niemoidian on the pegs right now.

Our peg warmers are the same as Tycho's with the exception of the Wookiee Warrior. I have figured out that Hasbro wants us the have a Clone Pilot army and not a clone trooper army. They also want us to fight the Clone Wars with Neo Warriors and not those evil jedi guys that are ruining the Republic. My son is going to be 6 in a month and was wanting some 3 3/4 inch figures like mine since he has all the GH line. When we look at the stores so he can make his birthday list he is like, "Dad, are there no jedi or Anakins?" He ended up putting down the clone pilot and Palpy #35 because he wanted something 3 3/4". Sad, sad, sad....these are the future of the hobby and they are already going to be jaded about Hasbro and collecting.

Pegwarmers in my area are pretty much the same, but the biggest are:
Mas Amedda
Clone Pilot
Palpatine (red saber)

By far the winner (or loser as the case may be )here is Mon motha. With the neo warrior and bail organa a close second,Red Palpy in third, with clone pilots in fourth. I have seen the tarkin wave only once, and have yet to see the mustufar wave anywhere here.

It's more of the same around here, but there's something else... something odd... bizare.. I think that Bail Organa figures are actually multiplying. I go to a certain Walmart and there are six. Go back a week later and there are eight. So on it goes until literaly all the pegs are occupied by Bail Organa and his heart shaped belt!

OK: What is it with the CLONE PILOT?
I could go back and find threads where we figured this figure would sell like wildfire because the ARC-170 takes 3 of them and the Republic Gunship has space for at least 2.
My Toys R Us had ARC-170's the other day. Maybe 4 of them. They don't show up too often, but they sell fast enough when they do.
The Republic Gunship was always scarce.
What I can say about the pilot figure is that they could have saved money on giving him more knee and ankle articulation and instead invested in a removeable helmet, with the face the correct skin tone - other than that, there's nothing wrong with the sculpt. It's not like if you want to crew the ARC 170 you should wait for a resculpt of a pilot army builder. We'll get another sculpt of SaeSee Tiin before we get a new Clone Pilot figure I'd bet
What is up with BAIL ORGANA?
First, he was very cool in the movie and stepped up from being a forgettable character to being a minor one. Fans know he was more than minor though. Kids may not know or care that he's Princess Leia's dad. However, he comes with a blaster and he could fight against Clones or Droids if you want to make believe he sees more action. Next, he's a friend to Yoda. What more could you ask for in a minor character? Is Polis Masan more interesting? Last, we diorama builders want at least 3 more different Bail Organa figures: the speeder scene (black leather), the Senate scene (silver cross straps), and his ambassador robes (Palpatine's recovery, delivering Leia to his wife). How are we going to get those figures when this one isn't selling that well?
Do you guys think the Senate or speeder scene Organa would have sold more if it was his first outfit from ROTS that he was offered in?
All of you have Organa, so it must be the kids who are not collecting him, right?

My experience yesterday and today:
Went to 3 Targets. One had nothing, no exageration. The second has moved their toy section and SW has been condensed to a 4 foot section of the aisle and had the pegs full of peg warmers. Third had the full section from 4/2 but almost all Nemodian Warriors.
For S&Gs, went to 2 Toys R US one had Saga 12" Han at least a dozen pegs full from front to back of Saga Dengar and an occasional Ozzell. Shelves clogged with Council Scenes. What irritates me about this is they were doing their green tag 30% off sale this weekend. Only had peg warmers. The Dengars were tagged green but the scenes were not. Both still had the front display set-ups with the games, OTC Falcons and ARC-170s, but no figs..
Went to 1 Wal-Mart and the shelves were empty.
What puzzles me is there is nothing at all out there right now. After Ep. 2, there were peg warmers, but not anywhere near as bad as this. I'm almost tempted to start buying playsets and vehicles online as Hasbro may not have made enough for these things to make it to clearance as they did in 02 and Winter 03.

Back in the day, me and my brother used to take all the peg warmers and just move them entirely. Wether it be to another part of the toy department, or behind other toys in general, wed hid a large portion of them, so when we asked Target employees to bring out new cases, they would. I wish I could do that now, but their are soo many pegwarmers at my Target, hiding all of them would be near impossible to not get caught. :ermm:

Compared to other lines in the past, I have only seen two real peg warming figures--Clone Pilots and Neimodian Warriors. No matter which store you go to, Target ,Wal-Mart, K-Mart or Kay-Bee, you will find those figures. Other figures still seen around, are found in much smaller quantities, like Mas Ameedas, Palpy with Saber and Wookie Warriors.

I don't how many Clone Pilots they produced VS say Basic Clones, but maybe they made more figuring everyone, not just adult army-builder types, would need 3 for their crew. That doesn't fly with parents. And as mentioned, the lack of knee joints and molded helmet didn't help.
With Bal Organa it's simple: Kids don't buy this type of character anymore. Back in the day we'd pony up our allowance to pick up General "Hair club for men" Madine, even though he was in the film for two minutes and only came with some funky batton. Now, kids seem to want Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda and Vader. Throw in the occasional Muppett/Alien Jedi and they're happy as a pappy. Bail only appeals to adult collectors and LA Law fans.
The "Silver cross straps" Senate version would have been the better looking outfit, IMHO, and would have seperated him from the upcoming Cpt. Antillies.

Great idea I would never have thought of doing that.
I don't get the mentality of a store waiting for its countless Bail Organas to sell before putting out new cases. Don't they know how off-putting it is for potential customers to see pegs and pegs of one figure (and not an army builder figure at that)?? They're driving customers away. Mix it up a bit you morons. Mix the old with the new.

Hiding figures so they restock can make it so they NEVER get new figures!
If the store HAS figures in the back, your plan may or may not work.
1) It will work because the stock person visually sees the pegs are empty and the pull merchandise (if they have it).
2) It will FAIL because the stock person uses their Telzon Scanner thing and it tells them that the store has 80 figures set out for customers.
Unable to locate the figures, the stock person angerly goes searching for the hidden figures and then decides NOT to stock new ones "to get back at those impatient Star Wars children who are still immature in their 30's."
3) It will FAIL because if the store has no figures in the back, the Bail Organas will never sell, and the computer that records merchandise leaving the store will record only that they have 80 figures on hand and do not need to order any more. So have fun hiding figures when the rest of us get Pilot Obi-Wan and the new Clones and your store NEVER does because 80 Bail Organas are somewhere on hand and a SW figure is a SW figure to the computer or employees who don't care.
4) Worse - they will SHRINK the Star Wars display further if they don't need room for 80 figures and do stock for you, but only have the 2-3 cases in the back with the new figures you want, but which will only require 8 pegs or so to display, instead of the 14-16 they're using now. So in the future, they'll order less.
Yeah go ahead and hide figures and NEVER get the Utopau Warrior!

Things have changed, ROTJLuke. IT's all computerized now. The guy would "shoot" one of the figures with the e-gun and see how many were supposed to be out there before he went and got any more. Tycho was just explaining why that wouldn't work anymore.
Up here, it's Mon Mothma by a landslide. 10 figs left at Walmart right now - 7 Mons, 2 Bails and 1 Prisoner Palpatine.
TRU has lots of Jedi figures - Saesee Tiin, Ki Adi, Luminara and Aayla predominantly - but they're having a blow out sale this week. With any luck they'll knock the stock down by 50% or so.
Zellers has a few figures left - 1 Nemo Warrior, a couple of Clone Pilots, and I believe a Prisoner Palpatine as well.
None of the stores here are packed with figures other than TRU - who have decided to try and rectify their situation. I feel much more confident about the prospects of getting the rest of the figures this year than I have previously (since the days of EpI stuff anyhow).
As far as "What's wrong with (that figure)", I think there are a few things to consider:
Some of the figures were made before the final cut of the movie was approved. I don't think Mon would have sat as much if she had a speaking part. She's important to the story, just not in the movie too much.
OR, kids will buy figures that catch their eye. The background jedi tend to blend into each other a bit as they weren't really defined as individual characters in any of the prequel films.
Bail doesn't really catch my eye. Not a bad figure, just not really weird looking or brightly coloured, not packed with tons of battle accessories, etc. Good for collectors, just not going to be a huge hit with the kids, or catch the eyes of the uninformed parents.
As far as I'm concerned they've done a much better job this time making up the case assortments than they did during the whole of the Saga line. 5 or 6 Pegwarmers out of 50 figures released to date is pretty darned good.

Pretty much the same here
Clone Pilot
Wookie Warrior
Nemodian Warrior
Red Palpy
IM not too worried about these since they are army builders for the most part. Older figures (1-32) are hard to impossible to find unless you go to TRU where they seem to have most of their stock from 4/2 still.
