Found this on eBay, and I see TheJawa.com has found this as well. Its supposed to be Clone # 6, but is the OTC STORMTROOPER in the card. Real or fake, you be the judge! Im just postin it to let you know whats out there.

Obvious fake.
Some moron actually bid over $50 on this?

CaptainSolo1138

Doesn't the back of the card look a bit odd?

I'm sure this is a fake. A retarded fake at that.

So if it was never opened as it states how come the troper's gun arm is outside of the plastic? Looks like its a $51 dollar fake.

Doesn't the back of the card look a bit odd?

That might be the Canadian card back but I can't be sure.

It's obviously been tampered with because that isn't a mistake Hasbro would make seeing as how the Stormtooper isn't even in production at the moment.

The back of it makes me think it's fake. That tape is too damn clean to have been done by a Hasbro employee. Whatever. It's obvious this guy knew he'd get some tard to bid or he wouldn't have bothered making it. $51 you have to be kidding me.

EDIT: And at that the $51 bid doesn't even meet this ****'s reserve.

JediTricks

It's a fake, I'm quite sure, it wasn't even put in the tray right, and the gun is sideways. Can't even see any tape on the back.

The cardback is the non-US version.

Can't even see any tape on the back.

Maybe that's why someone bid $50! :p lol

One of the worst fakes ever though, people who do stuff like that should be slapped.

Though, it shows the ROTS packaging does look better without the horrendous tape. :crazed:

YEAH! Obvious fake. When you're looking at all 4 pictures, the ones on the right (front view and right view) are the ones that give the fake away. You can see the "ripped paper" where the part of the blister was glued to the card back right where the blister meets the card back. This guys camera was too good, it picked up the flaws too well. What a piece of S**T! I hate it when people try to scam everyone else.

Someone should drive the auction to a couple of hundred bucks and not pay him.
It'd serve him right (but I ain't doin' it).

I was checking out his e-bay store and feedback and he seems like a good seller. he probobly found this at walmart and is to frigg'n dumb to see tat someone switched figures. Someone should probobly write him and let hm know before the person who buys it hunts him down and stabs him or something lol

Somebody could ask the seller about some of the ahhh 'issues' that we have brought about about that figure.

I felt compelled to follow your lead, JJB#2. Here's the question I posed:
What's with the card back?! Why is the gun not packaged correctly? The tape seems awfully perfect as well. If I sound sceptical it's because I am. Along with ALOT of other people.
Let's see if he responds

He lowered the price to $36?!?! WTF? And I love the little note down at the bottom about how he's being accused as a fake. Gee, I can't imagine why?

Slicker
07-21-2005, 08:59 AM
He's not a SW collector yet he could tell the difference between a Stormtrooper and a Clone Trooper? Some tools getting ripped off of $36. Oh, wait no he isn't because the bigger tool selling still hasn't had his ridiculously high reserve met yet.

I am no collector nor could I possibly have the know how to do the things people are saying I am doing.

Take a look at the other stuff this guy is selling... there are a ton of SW figures! So he's not a collector but for some odd reason knows this is 'rare' and $51 isn't enough to meet his reserve! Why doens't he just have it for $6.99 like his POF auctions? :crazed:

This one is a Commtech/OTC stormtrooper, not a VOTC one. So, the answer to your question is . . . not the guy who switched these figures! :p

I just had to e-mail the moron. I was kind of nice, here's what I wrote,

Quote from you. "If this is all the star wars collector's are about then I should just cancel this auction rip this open and give it to my son."

I think you should open it and give it to your son. Star Wars collecting is about having fun and enjoying the items and I'm sure your son would like it, even though it is a fake. I run into this kind of thing all the time at Target. People want the new figures and then they throw a old one in it's place and return it. The employees don't have a clue that something has been tampered with. It's unfortunate that you are trying to sell it. Some buyer with out a clue will win it and then discover it is a fake and then you will get negative feedback. You really should remove it.
Just giving you some insight on the Toy industry. Nothing wrong with making a few bucks on real items, but not on fake one's.

I posted the following message in 2004, and everyone thought I was insane. Now I realize that what I saw on the pegs at Target was a tampered customer return. Finally some closure. Damn that's low...

Gold Saga/OT Target Bubble Decal/Photo Missing
Just went to Target here in Burbank, CA. I found something so bizarre, that I have to get some answers. I found about 8 gold carded figs saga/OT: Han Solo with Endor Cape (his arms camouflaged, but the cape is removeable- really lame), Han Flight from Alderaan, General Lando, Lando Jabba's Skiff, Lando (blue muscle shirt), R2-D2 (basic, no accessories other than the new flat stand): None of them had the decals on the bubble that identify the character/with photo. Just a giant bubble. What kind of f*#$-up is this?

I 'watched' the last 10 or so minutes of the auction as the price went up a few times. With a few last second bids the auction ended at $192.50 I wonder what the reserve was $200 I'm guessing? I also wonder if this will turn up again on Ebay in a couple of weeks.

And this auction just proves why people make up fake figures like this. 196 bones and the reserve still wasn't met. Maybe this was a probing auction to see just how much he could get for one of these and as I type he's making an entire legion of them in his basement.

CaptainSolo1138

$200 and the reserve is STILL not met?!?!?! What a jag off. I love it when scalpers (if you even want to call him that. Don't scalpers actually have to sell their crappy wears to be considered such?) get theirs.

Being a relative ebay n00b, can he choose to accept the $200 even if his reserve isn't met?
