The internet exclusive Wedge Antillies is not a repack, but in fact a resculpt. This looks amazing!! Hasbro really has woken up!

The internet exclusive Wedge Antillies is not a repack, but in fact a resculpt. This looks amazing!! Hasbro really has woken up!Looks like a new (?) head sculpt and helmet on our old friend Dutch Vander (http://photos.sirstevesguide.com/showgallery.php?cat=893)'s body.

I saw this yesterday. Great News! Gotta pre-order one!

Well, now I will get this. Good Vader body to begin with, good sculpt even if it is from 1999, nice weapon. I'll buy it.
I wonder if we'll see the other 2 figures from the Rebel Pilots cinema scene repacked-
we still don't have single-carded versions of the A,B, and Y-wing pilots.

Well, whaddya know!? This is certainly better news, but still no excuse to charge $12.99 for a 3 3/4 figure. (And making it an "Internet exclusive" means S&H) :(

I'm W/ Kidhuman here. It moves over from Nopeville to Maybeville.

No S&H if you live in sunny Los Angeles.

Wow, glad to see something right for once. I am no longer an attempting completist collector, but I may buy it just for hasbro doing something right

I'm obviously in the minority here, but I was hoping this WAS a repack so I wouldn't have to get one. Man, am I ever sick of exclusives.

Im gonna grab it now, its sweet looking. Im glad hasbro did that, and made it sweet! :)

I'm confused... the one over at StarWarsShop.com is STILL showing the previously released one with the following posted on the page:

Figure collectors have long asked for a carded version of Wedge, which originally came packed inside the 1997 Millennium Falcon Carry Case. StarWarsShop.com has enhanced this limited online offer by including the exclusive Topps trading card and a StarWarsShop collector case -- you will not find this bundle offered anywhere else! Remember, this figure cannot be purchased through traditional mass merchant retailers -- it is an internet exclusive. Make sure to get your Wedge Antilles figure with exclusive Topps card and collector case from StarWarsShop today!

So... are there two versions of Wedge that are going to be sold? One from the "shop" and one from Entertainment Earth? I ordered the EE one...

I've looked around at a bunch of different sites that have this for pre-order. Only EE shows this sculpt and I find it hard to believe that they have an exclusive sculpt. Maybe someone could call Hasbro and ask. If someone gives me a phone # I will be glad to call

ROTJLuke

Im willing to bet its a new sculpt all around, but I guess to be on the safe side Id order it from EE as well, lol, just in case :)

That's exactly what I did!!

ROTJLuke
07-22-2005, 02:24 PM
see, there ya go! :) It read that it was an online exclusive, so Im assuming it would be the same everywhere.

So I pre ordered mine from Entertainment Earth. I have never done this before, when will they charge my credit card?

WOW nice very very nice. Definate buy. :)

So I pre ordered mine from Entertainment Earth. I have never done this before, when will they charge my credit card? They charge your card when the figure comes into their warehouse in LA CA. It takes a few day to process the order and then ship it.

EE has a very good relationship with Hasbro and the figure that is up on EE's site is the real deal.

If this really is the real figure, then I think I'll buy it. It looks like a kitbash between Dutch Vander's body and the cinema scenes Wedge head. I'll wait until they arrive before I order one, so I can find out the truth and I don't end up with the carry case one.

I just put in my order for Wedge. The new pics really made me happy so I ordered it before I could talk myself out of it.

Fluke Skywalker

Canceling an order with EE is a no hassle deal as long as you do it before it's in stock.

ROTJLuke
07-23-2005, 06:53 AM
yea EE are great people to work with, and they are close to Hasbro like stated before, so I believe its the real deal. :)

07-26-2005, 12:47 PM
Ok, its a little sad when EE is offering a better online deal than starwarsshop.com, but when it comes to OTC stuff, I'm a sucker. :Par:

I am glad Hasbro is using that particular body sculpt, but Wedge will sure be tall when he arrives :)

ROTJLuke
07-26-2005, 01:53 PM
Im shocked that they would put out the POTF Wedge, it really screwed with us. Props to Hasbro tho, and great goin on the new Wedge! :)

I wish they would hav e used Dutch Vander's helmet too though. He still looks goofy without the helmet chinstrap and microphone. I think the Cinema Scene Wedge will do for me.

ROTJLuke
07-26-2005, 03:47 PM
Im just fine with the way this one turned out. Its not the best it could be, but its not complete s**t either. :)

Mr. JabbaJohnL
07-27-2005, 04:36 PM
Starwarsshop.com is now showing the correct new Wedge and not the crap old one, so I guess it's at both places.

Has Hasbro or EE said if the figure will be on the new saga card or on the OTC card?

Turbowars

No, not yet.

jjreason

I preordered a couple of these today, I think it's a big improvement over the POTF2 version. I'm hoping it's packaged in the new Saga2 type package - if not, I'll be selling my 2nd one to recoup some of the money spent.

I went on StarWars.com last night and it looks like the figure is already sold out? :( :( I ordered two of the covert ops.

Slicker
09-04-2005, 06:57 PM
I'm not surprised that they're sold out. I've had mine on order for nearly 2 months now. I would assume that since it's exclusive that it's produced in reduced numbers.

You should check out a few other sites DarkArtist if you want him. Wedge is an internet exclusive in only a general sense. Other online sites also have him for preorder, just not with the bonus card StarWars.com was also offering with him.

I forgot to preorder from shopstarwars.com and I guess I f---ed up. My wife really wanted the card, so that counts out EE. Is there anybody that ordered multiples that can help a brother out when they come in? Drop me a PM please!!!

Mr. JabbaJohnL
09-10-2005, 10:29 AM
Why the hell would they let these sell out when they're on pre-order? That's lame. I didn't order one but I will from EE soon.

Turbowars
10-05-2005, 10:26 PM
Here's a pic of him carded. jedi defender says it's from e-bay. Kind of looks like a custom, but check it out.

Kidhuman
10-05-2005, 10:31 PM
Why the heck would he have a Falcon background and not an X-wing.

Turbowars
10-05-2005, 10:36 PM
Yeah, I know and that's one of the reasons I think it's a custom. An other would be the front label stating internet exclusive. Why would Hasbro bother?

Slicker
10-06-2005, 02:02 AM
Yeah, I know and that's one of the reasons I think it's a custom. An other would be the front label stating internet exclusive. Why would Hasbro bother? That's both of the things that made it look weird. Why would they put "Internet Exclusive"? Def. a custom.

Jango Speck
10-06-2005, 02:07 AM
Plus, the "Internet Exclusive" label font is just not 100% right. It's like those "Star Wars" freeware fonts you can download- they look good at a quick glance, but upon inspection they don't hold up, especially when we all know what a legit figure is supposed to look like.

Mr. JabbaJohnL
10-06-2005, 04:33 PM
That's definitely not real - wrong font on his name, weird insert (the words "action figure" never appear on the front), wrong background, and the other pictures of Wedge have him with no chinstrap (someone just put in the Dutch Vander figure on the OTC Han Solo card and called it Wedge).

Captain Spoon
10-07-2005, 07:53 AM
plus if you look at the top left corner of the bubble the pic is ripped exposing cardboard so you can tell it's a custome. By the way I ordered mine from OMGCNFO.com they are 12.99 and everything they have ever shipped me has arrived perfect.
