Just been catching up on LuciferSam's weekly reviews, and been getting all nostalgic about my vintage figs, which I've recently been recollecting.

It's a shame I've missed adding my memories to these threads, but it's all made me realise I must've been a really weird kid... everyone else seems to reminisce about all the battles they'd have with their figs (except one guy who made a bed for his R2!), but my imagination kind of went off on a different tangent... more of a soap opera!

Sure, I'd have battles when playing SW with my friends, but when left to my own devices, the scenario usually went something like this............

Luke would fall in love with Leia, and they'd get married (this was before anyone knew they were brother and sister remember), and move in with Leia's dad Ben, who had a really swish pad (my mum's emptied out sewing box, which had loads of neat compartments and drawers, and was a very modern box, lined in a metallic sci-fi grey). He also had a couple of droid servants.

But wimpy Luke wasn't enough for feisty Leia, and she'd disappear off to the Cantina (I never had the playset, so it was just under a small table), and end up having an affair with Greedo (well, he was my favourite fig, so had to be written in somewhere). In true soap tradition, she'd get pregnant, and give birth to... (oh dear, I can't believe I'm admitting to this!!)... Yoda.

After the inevitable slanging matches with Luke, Darth Vader would turn up and kidnap Yoda. There'd be a big chase around the room in a Lego landspeeder, which would end up on the cliffs (ie, the stairs), where battle would finally commence!!

And if you thought all that was bad enough, sometimes it would be Luke having the affair... and poor old Greedo would suffer the indignities of wearing jawa's cloth cape as a dress, and becoming 'Greeda'!

So I was wondering, am I alone in all this, or did anyone else do anything different to the regular war games? And please go easy on me guys, this is the first time I've told any of this stuff!

"You've taken your first step into a larger world."

I never had any soap-opera-like scenarios. My playtime consisted of intense battles and death. Although I know my friend's sister used to steal his figures and use them in her doll house.

Well It Wasn't All War Games.we Would Take Monopoly Money And Use It For Things. Like If I Wanted A Bounty On Someone Or Pay Me So I Do Not Attack Someone. I Was The Empire Most Of The Time. Ran A Space Port And People Had To Pay To Land.

Seeing as I'm now a foreign finance manager, I guess that's what I should have been doing!
