On many of the pages here, there's currently an ad for a Hulk maquette. Is it just me or does it appear that he should get some bigger shorts?

Yeah, it does appear that lil Hulk is angry also.

That's funny, I was sorta put off by that ad when I logged in, too, but I was more concerned that his cranium was WAY too small... thoiugh you are right about the shorts- thanks for making me actually study that damn pic, fellows :beard:

I just hope that if there was a banner with some babe on it she'd get the same detail that the Hulk is getting now. lol

By the way, I posed for the making of this figure because the company needed someone with big guns and a muscular chest, as a basis of sculpting this figure.

Though they used you for the torso, they decided to base the crotch part on me . . . but they had to scale it waaaaay down. :D

You got it right, CS, you don't know the amount of agony of the life I live. I am a prisoner in my home. Damn' my bulging biceps (or Flo and Eddie as I have so named each)!

This new one is even sexier, we don't see the Full Monty but we know it's there and have to imagine it . . . it's just like when old people say movies are a lot sexier when you don't see everything.

I'm totally into the Hulk now. He dominates my private thoughts.

Don't tell Steve, but there is a smaller version of the avacado smuggling Hulk banner which sometimes pops up at the bottom of the page.

"Ahhhh yeahhhhhhhh we have sort of a problem here." (spoken in my best possible Bill Lumbergh voice from Office Space ;) ) I'm not so sure I can (now)go catch a movie this weekend like you suggested Caesar. lol

The new Sideshow banner ad for Jango Fett, showing his hips, is a tad odd. The ammo belt with all those packages holding weapons, his guns, etc. Just weird. Can't simply show his helmet or armor, eh?

Now, is anybody getting creeped out by the Asajj/Dooku side ad? Is she slicing off his head from behind, or scratching a lower back itch?

TeeEye7
06-30-2008, 12:10 AM
Yep. And it's a bit pedophilic. I mean, c'mon! Dooku is an old coot after all! :cross-eye

Dooku seems less interested in her and more interested in something we can't see. i can tell by the droop of his saber.....

There's a Premiere Collectibles ad at the bottom of the main Forums [edit: actually, it's at the bottom of this very page, right now] page that shows an OPENING BID for a carded Boba Fett at $100,000. Whaaaaaaaaaaa?!? I don't care if it has Jeremy Bulloch's DNA enclosed, ain't NO Star Wars toy of anything worth that much, I'm sorry.

i think anyone who pays such ridiculous prices for a lump of plastic no matter how rare or allegedly 'iconic' is a total loon that needs their head examining and access to the bank account denied. in fact I'd go so far as to say their financial assets seized and redistributed among the needy and poor. the world is falling flat on it's face and people are spending this much money on a tiny piece of plastic crap? perspective needed i think.

... and then the new Sideshow of Elvira is just a shoulder-up ad? I almost would say that there's one ad that should've been a bust picture, but I won't say that.

I stand corrected. The ad at the bottom of the page is wider. So, upper level advertisements: classy. Lower level ones: for the base collectors? ;)

I've been meaning to ask: what's that light blue thing the Quarren (Squid Head) Jedi is holding in the "Joker Squad" ad? Looks like a limp lightsaber or a weird whip. :somepeoplecallmemaurice:

It's something ridiculous and in-between those two: it's a shockwhip. Not to be confused with the lightwhip. Oy vey . . .
