I went to two Wal-Marts yesterday and both lowered the price on the basic figures to $4.77. Everything else looked like it was the same price.

That would be cool if there was anything i wanted, but ive got most of the ROTS figures now. Its too bad TRU doesnt drop the price of their figures, theyve got some i wouldnt mind using for customs and mini dioramas.

My Wal-Mart still had them at $5.88. Just wish we would get in the next ones after #56.

Funny thing now with WMs, you can tell them you're price matching and give them the cost for another store and the cashiers just punch in the new price and away you go. However they won't price match another WM with a lower price.

GREAT NEWS!!!
Wal*Mart price adjusts figure purchases dating back to MAY!!!
I picked up some stuff I had on layaway from WM. Figs of course. Well, they gave me the pricebreak of $4.77 down from $5.88, so I saved $5.95 there. The lady told me that the refund was good for figs purchased dating back to MAY!!! Well, my fiancee just happened to have a receipt with her from a previous layaway. I asked the lady if I could get the difference on them. She said to check with customer service. I did, and lo' and behold they gave me the difference back! This was a transaction done last month! I got back $4.53. Roughly 50 cents each for the 9 figs I had bought. So folks, if you've saved you're old receipts from WM, take them back and see if they'll do a price adjustment. You may just get some money back!

GREAT NEWS!!!
Wal*Mart price adjusts figure purchases dating back to MAY!!! Thanks for the heads up, Sal, I'll have to try that. I noticed today my WM has lowered prices as well. Nine months too late IMO...
Questionable business practices aside, at least WM is powerful enough to pressure vendors in keeping prices down. Hasbro is gouging collectors with their $6-7 price range for four-inch figures.

That price adjustment might be a sweet way to get some free cash! I'll have to try that. I don't think I'll be getting any new figures from my POS WM any time soon.

I noticed the $4.77 price yesterday as well. There was still one peg that said $5.88, so they must have missed that peg.

The new 7 (57 - 63) that I bought tonight were all at $5.88, can I take the receipt in to walmart in a couple days and tell them I was charged too much? I bought the new 7 but I bought a total of 11 figures so that would be some cool pocket change if they did that.
damn yer close to me.. i'm in kansas city.. which walmart did you hit? do you know the stockers? any left? ;) daaaamn ;P

If you still have the receipt, the price is for an ad they are running. You can get the adjustment on that. The ad is on page 1 in the lower left hand corner.

My Walmart is still charging $5.88 and the latest circular also shows that same price! They advertise the $5.88 big as Dallas like its some kind of sale price! :upset:

I just got back from WM and found some of the new figures. The pegs said 4.77 and so did the scanner, but the self-help cashier had them at $5.88. I wish I had gone to a real cashier cause I would have gotten a $3 credit for the goofup.

The same here. I found the latest wave of Star Wars and I paid $5.88 for them. I am going back today to get my adjustment.

I just made a stink about it right at the register. Told the cashier straight up, and pointed it out in the Wal-Mart ad. From what I have been told, they are going back up to $5.88, so get the figures while the ad price is still good. And check the pegs, the price on the pegs at my store say the basic SW figures are $4.77.

When I picekde up all of new figs yesterday they rang up at $5.88 and I told 'em that they were $4.77 with this thread in mind and sure as heck they changed the price for me. I save $7.

The ad expires in two weeks, then they go back up to 5.88

Don't forget that Kohl's does price matching. This might be wothwhile if they have any good figures. My local Walmart charges $5.88, but I recently bought some at a Walmart in a nearby town where they were only $4.77.
I found a couple of figure's at Kohl's and showed them the $4.77 receipt from Walmart. (They have a Competitor's Price option on the register, so it was not problem to adjust the price)
In addition, I had a coupon for 15% off.
Kohl's price: $7.99
Price adjustment discount: -$3.22
15% off: -$0.72
Buying Star Wars figures for even less than Walmart's price: Priceless!

Wow, I'm impressed that you're still finding worthwhile figures at Kohls. I check occasionally, and never see anything new at the stores near me.

I was going to say the same thing. I took my son out to purchase a couple pairs of pants for him, and I stopped by the toy department, and only 8 older peg warmers there. I quit going there for my toy fix, when I started finding the figures at my Wal-Mart store.

Even on the new case assortment boxes of the new final 12 ROTS figures #57-68, the sticker price outside the box says they are each $4.77! (C1 ASST WV7R1 05) Yet, this past weekend, they were scanning up at $5.88 each. Thank goodness I know one of the cashiers at our WM and she hooked me up with the $4.77 price for each new figure. I did notice on the SW set taped on the pegs their little signs, that are marked $4.77, have a date of 9-28-05 on the bottom. Either the date they went on sale, or im sure the day the figure sale ended. Just be sure and pull one of these signs, or better yet get the WM flier when you walk into the store to bring with you to show the cashiers that they are adverstised at sale price. They should hornor this price. Most WM cashiers are cool and will do the mark down on their own for you, but most do want an ad or WM sign from inside the store for the mark down. Happy Hunting!

Thats the day they went on sale, 9/28/05. I believe it goes until 10/15/05 according to the ad.

Yeah, that sounds right. I'm thankful for it, too. I found three more figures overnight, and they rang up at $5.88. But the cashier corrected it again.

I got three figures from Walmart last night with no problem getting the $4.77 price tag. The cool thing is that it seems like the final twelve ROTS figures are hitting while this sell price is going on too.

Has anyone actually seen the final five yet? I was under the impression that only the first seven of the final 12 had been turning up.

I've only seen four of them, Commander Gree and Bly, Wookie Commando, and Neimoidian Commander. They still rang up at $5.88 this AM but the cashier changed the price when I told her of the ad. I was going to weasel the $3 off they're supposed to give you, but I had a price match on a DVD too so I let it go.

I found two of the last 12 figures at my Walmart and the price tag, and what they rang up as, were both 5.88.

I was specifically asking if anyone anywhere had found numbers 64-68. There have been several reports of 57-63 turning up, but to my knowledge, no one has reported finding the "final five." I thought that perhaps those figures would end up on the shelves with the rest of them to go along with Wal-Mart's sale.

As of 10 this morning still no sign of them that I am aware of. I checked with the local WM here and they gave no idea when.

I'm actually okay with that for now. I've been fortunate enough to buy everything that's come out lately, so I wouldn't mind a breather.

Went to a Walmart that I rarely visit, like once or twice a year and they had the figures for 4.77. Unfortunately they only had old figures, nothing past May so it was a waste of my time.

We have seen a few of these around the Omaha, NE area. They come in small, very small spurts.
I have only been able to find the Comm. Bree and the Wookie.

Dangit, if only I lived in the USA. Down here in NZ, Star Wars figures are anywhere between $15 and $20 in stores, or up to double that through web dealers, depending on rarity. Our $ is worth about 68c US, so that still works out to mean that the cheapest figures downm here are easily double what you guys pay. Ah well, it's still a great country, but expensive to be a collector.
