View Full Version : Titanium Wave 4

Well I have searched hi and low for any information regarding Titanium Wave 4. It was suppose to include:

Royal Starship
Wookie Flyer
Jedi Starfighter (green)
and a Falcon.

I have found a few of these for sale on ebay, but only from the UK. Were these ever released here in the US?

Is the rumor I heard true, there was only 1 case per Walmart?

Thanks for any clarity anyone can provide.

I havent seen any wave 4 here, I usually see al the Titaniums.

I'm kinda bummed, that wave had some cool stuff in it!

I hope that it is just being released later.

According to Hasbro's website, this wave is slated for Spring 2006--probably the next wave of Titanium mini-vehicles.

I've seen some of the new wave in Milwaukee area Wal-Marts already. I've got a Clone Tank, Speeder Bike, Jedi Attack Cruiser, and Jango Fett's Slave I (with green and blue paint). I also found an Ultra Tri-Fighter in Austin.

I was out of town while in Wisconsin and didn't have enough luggage space to bring everything home, so my family will be shipping them to me shortly.

In the meantime, here are pictures of what I have...

Ultra Tri-Fighter: loose (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/mtraub/Toys/IMG_2936.jpg), with cover (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/mtraub/Toys/IMG_2940.jpg), boxed (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/mtraub/Toys/IMG_2942.jpg), box back (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/mtraub/Toys/IMG_2945.jpg), with packaging (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/mtraub/Toys/IMG_2930.jpg), and with 1st wave (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/mtraub/Toys/IMG_2949.jpg).
Speeder Bike: front and back (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/mtraub/Toys/IMG_2954.jpg), with previous waves front (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/mtraub/Toys/IMG_2960.jpg), and with previous waves back (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/mtraub/Toys/IMG_2964.jpg).

Comments: It was very easy to remove the Ultra Tri-Fighter from the package without damaging the box. Only three pieces of tape. Two on the front lower corners, and one long one on the plastic insert base (visible in the picture if you look closely).
Differences in the three shown Titanium containers. From the front: position and style of "Titanium" logo, position of "Star Wars", "die-cast" missing on Y-Wing. The backs are substantially different for the new wave. Previous waves had plastic and tape all over the back side. The new wave has a clean back.

I have managed to find the entire current released set:
Death Star
Speeder Bike
Vulture Droid
Clone Turbo Tank
Republic Attack Crusier
Slave 1
and the chase : White Tie Fighter.

Though the only information I can find about "wave 4" was that it was due out last Sept. at walmart only, and that perhaps they were slated to only get on case per store. I have looked on e-bay and have found them for sale, but only from the UK. It looks to me like they never made their release into the US.

Here is the link I found.

It's about half way down.

I hate when a site claims that something is 1 case per WM, that's generally not how WM works, they distribute based on area warehouses, not on store levels. This in turn becomes scalper fuel.

12-31-2005, 05:11 PM
Yeah I'm sure the part about 1 case is BS, but was wondering if anyone had actually seen these released in the US anywhere?

01-01-2006, 07:11 PM
Not that I've seen or heard, I suspect they're still sitting in a Hasbro warehouse.

It just seems weird that they had information about them out, yet never relaeased the toy.

It happens from time to time, hopefully this won't be like the Action Fleet cancelled items or the Ep 1 Die Casts where they never showed up though.

There are still a couple of Hong Kong based auctions selling packaged Wave 4 ships, there was a UK auction running a few days ago with Buy It Now, but it was running at around $20 for Anakins Green fighter. Silly money.

Theres a couple of Wookie 'copters floating about too.

I just really hope these get re-issued.

Yeah I saw those auctions, which is what leads me to believe that they just never were released in the US as planned. Though I am wondering how they are going to handle it since now everyone can carry the Titanium series, not just Walmart, and at the time that those were made, Walmart had the only contract. Oh well, I only hope that they do get released and become available here. I refuse to pay $20/ea plus another $20 for shipping from the UK or AU.

Was lucky enough to bag my wv4 from Action HQ in HK.

Definately track down the green jedi -snice!

Yeah, I remember them stocking Wave 4 for fairly reasonable money (for Action HQ) but I held back before ordering them. The very next day they were sold out!

I've got a loose Green Anakin Fighter thats a bit scrappy that I got off a HK seller, but its not mint enough to display really.

I wish I had snagged them from AHQ now...

I will continue to hunt them down though- even if it's just one set of them to keep closed because I like the packaging. I'll open new ones later...

I hope Hasbro ISN'T repacking the ones they made into the new packaging, as that would mean the initial release of Wave 4 WILL be worth tons of cash...

As it is, my Tri-Lingual Wookie Flyer is pretty nifty...weird that it's tri-lingual, but nifty. :p

If anyone gets any word on where to get Wave 4 in the original packing (like shown on AHQ.com) let me know- I am desperate for a set now! :(

WS, dude, can you ever stop being scalper-esque for like 3 seconds? ;)

Anyway, EE confirms that wave 4 will be integrated into the next 3 waves (3, 4, and 5) of the Titanium Series.

Where did you find this info?

"2x Titanium Limited Edition Slave I."

WTF? As if "Treasure Hunts" in this line weren't bad enough!

And why is the "Limited" Edition packed 2 per case?

This is starting to leave a bad taate in my mouth...

Blue Obi-Wan's JSF sounds cool though :D

01-06-2006, 05:16 PM
When they say Limited Edition do they not mean the treasure hunt or chase item?

Wouldn't be the first time EE used whatever term popped into their heads at the time.

01-08-2006, 02:49 AM
Yeah, that's likely what the situation is, simply another 1-per-case vehicle.
