A set of photos of this figure has been added to the Database...
...including some side-by-side shots of the figure with images from the film.

As it turns out, this figure is really a pretty decent one. I'm still amazed that it got made at all, given that this character had so little screen time -- but I suppose he did have one line. ;) From the side-by-side images, it's pretty obvious that it was hard to find a decent shot of the guy because, well... there aren't any. Hasbro did a good job of putting this one together though, as it's a reasonably well made, decently sculpted and painted figure.

That's what I think anyway. What about you?

I am excited that they made this for two reasons.

1. More Hoth Troopers. I loved this battle and the more that are made the better a future diorama can become.

2. If anyone recalls the old Decipher card game, they directly linked the character to the Cheer's character. I though that was a clever little bit of lore that they did.

Keep it up. It is a good figure of a neat little sidenote in the story of Star Wars.

As for the figure, they had more than just the movie since he still had the mustache and looked pratically the same in Cheers so they may have also used footage from the show to get the likeness correct.

So that is Ratzenburger from Cheers? Whoa, where have I been.

Number 67 on the list. (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001652/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnx0dD0xfGZiPXV8cG49MHxrdz0xfHE9cmF0em VuYmVyZ2VyfGZ0PTF8bXg9MjB8bG09NTAwfGNvPTF8aHRtbD0x fG5tPTE_;fc=1;ft=20) :)

I always thought it was Ted Danson. Go figure.

Is it me, or are this figure's hands HOOGE!

I still like it though...alot! I'm with Sentinel, any hoth figures are  for me!

Yeah, the hands are a bit big. Not sure why... not sure why the left hand is posed like that either. (Are those hands new or are they recycled from another figure?)

A few more side-by-side images...

(I don't count that scene as his second line BTW, 'cause I'm pretty sure that's not his voice. ;) )

The likeness is really close. Going off of memory, I didnt think it was that close.

Great figure, I've no complaints. Cool cardback image aswell. It has boosted my appetite for ever more Hoth rebels and Imperials:

Deck Officer and update of remaining vintage Hoth figure (if different..but if not make 2 anyway)
Torryn Farr
Hoth rebel soldier SA resculpt (under no circumstances is it to be a kitbash or straight rerelease of existing figures)
Wedge snowspeeder pilot
Luke snowspeeder pilot
Leia Hoth resculpt
Han Hoth (hood down and neutral stance)
SA snowtrooper
And a C-3PO, perhaps a slightly less shiny repaint of the ROTS figure, could do with being included in a future Hoth Wave. Overall he seems to get short shrift compared with R2.
And absolutely no more Darth Vaders!!!!

Mad Slanted Powers

I was a little disappointed that there was no articulation in the knees or ankles. Still, it's a nice looking figure and I'm glad they made it.

I was really pleased with how nicely he came out. (Heeheehee) It's a good figure, especially considering that he merely "Decides: To close the base doors for the night" and does little else. The giggles above were in reference to the "came out" part. My friend Bruce and I both agree that he looks like the stereotypical gay man from the 1970s with that moustache. (heeheehee)
