its alright but I dont think its worth that much at all..

It looks like crap! It's not even SA.;)

02-11-2006, 09:08 AM
Dang, Makes me want to start making customs just to sell.

02-11-2006, 09:19 AM
I was just thinking the same thing!!! My wife one Christmas bought me three or four hundred figures for that very reason. Do customs normally sell for these types of prices on ebay?

02-11-2006, 11:11 AM
They will sell that high if it's a sought after figure such as Quinlon. This one is kinda high for the norm but it's hovering around what I've seen others sell for.

02-11-2006, 12:29 PM
Not for nothing but some of the custom clones like Gree, Cody, Bly, Neo, and Fox using go for around $50 to $75, especially if they are SA. I sold a custom Shadows of the Empire Luke with the yellow vest using a Comm Tech Han Body and a Comm Tech Luke head for $85.
Hey, it just goes to show you that if someone wants it bad enough they will pay for it. I do agree that the auction price is insane but hey.

Wow! Like I said, I have plenty of fodder to begin a new business. Anyone want to contribute to a list of characters I should start considering?

Popular characters from Comics/other EU.

That thing looks like someone picked up a caveman action figure from the dollar store.....and wiped their a*s with it

02-11-2006, 10:45 PM
Holy $h*t! that thing jumped another $130 bucks! $227.50 in total...
Stupid guy that won auction :whip:

This dude says that his figures are 100% handmade, original, and custom. It doesn't look like he "handmade" all of the parts... it doesn't look like he handmade any of the parts. And the picture quality is so poor, that you can't really tell if there are any major flaws. He says that it's a fragile piece of art. Why buy it? Did he even include a custom cardback for it? So cheap!
The figure looks like crap, and it annoys the hell out of me that people are friggin stupid enough to spend ANYTHING for a "custom made" figure... let alone spend over $200! Is it realy that hard to yank off a head of one figure and stick it on a body of another figure??!! I only get wowed with people that that ARE awesome artists, and can custom paint the hell out of a figure. I'm also wowed with people that can actually sculpt heads. This guy looks like he just takes pieces from other figs and sticks them together.
Can you tell I'm annoyed.

$227!! Gee, let me think. Would I rather have a kit-bashed crap looking "custom" or a vintage 12 back figure (you could get a very nice looking one ro that much).

*raises hand* I'll take the 12 back please.

Are people really that lazy that they don't want to spend a couple of hours making there own? Hell if anyone wants one here I'm sure I know someone that will gladly make you some for half of that.

A dump I took this morning looked more like Quinlan Vos than that figure does.

The stupidity of people is amazing sometimes.

02-12-2006, 12:57 PM
Yeah, but there it is. A $227 piece of crap. Must be nice to be able to throw that kinda cash around for a not so spectacular custom. It's insane in the membrane.

Guys, I think you all are getting a bit excited about this. I'm sure the winning bid was a "shill" bid... ;)

Hmm though if it were real, I might just go ahead and make a custom of this to sell. Heck, I could spend a good 10 hourse on a figure and come up with something MUCH nicer, AND with a custom cardback to boot.

Now where's that Kit Fisto I've been meaning to use for this very purpose...

I was going to say the same thing. It happens all the time.
