Unbelievably someone on RS has already found the new VOTC figures at retail. They don't come out for another 2 months but here they are with the receipts to prove it.

Ha, and if you look close, it looks like the person got the cashier to do a price adjust so that they only got the Greedo for $5!

TDVDon't fret I haven't either (and not many on the boards have either so this is just a REALLY weird case of finding something early).

The problem is that poor pacing leads to dry spells later. Last year better part of the 3rd and 4th quarters were dry spells.

This is unbelievable. I only wish the Coruscant wave would come in this quickly(already found and own the Geonosis wave). I needs my Commander Cody.

I think this is just a fluke. I'd be surprised to see if any more showed up. I, like most other people, haven't even laid eyes on the Geonosis wave.
So what do you all think happened? Hasbro's warehouse accidentally shipped WM the wrong box?

That would be my guess. Wrong box at the wrong time. I noticed that there was just this one figure...if I saw all five, I would have picked them all up. I wonder if someone else purchased the rest of the case??

has anyone checked out StarWarsShop.com. I think they have the case wave of VOTC and it shows that you get the Lucas Stormtrooper figure with it?

Don't fret yet, these arn't officially out yet. Note where they were found, a small town in Kansas. It's the same Wal-Mart that the Marvel Legends Wal-Mart exclusives were found earlier than they were supposed to be out. It was a reset of the store to show off how the store would look later in the year. Wal-Mart insists that companies send samples of real future merchandise to reset the store with, so they can get an idea of how it will look.
Info from Elsewhere:
"The way WM works is, they will schedule "Sales Meetings" to introduce upcoming products and they will ship them to a select store (not always in the Bentonville "home" office) and they will mock up an aisle, dept, whatever to show what that "mod" (modular set up) will look like. Apparently this was air freighted for one of those meetings and they forgot to pull them off the shelves when they were done. That explains why the box sets, 2 packs, etc were all there. These sales meetings happen months in advance of the "live" dates."
This is not Toy Biz BS or even their fault. Wal-mart has a meeting every year in Kansas City to discuss their upcoming year and show some hot new items. So WM ordered these promos from Toy Biz Worldwide(NOT Toy Biz).
Everyone should not get upset about this for one good reason. If WM is going so far to order a promo to show ALL their management levels, they must think these are going to be a BIG seller. So these should show up in FULL FORCE.

You misunderstand, they show him because the case contains a full set of the 5 VTSC figures which you then clip out to mail away for the Lucas Stormtrooper. The case actually contains 2 full sets of the 5 VTSC figs, the idea being you can either get 2 Lucas figs or keep one set pristine.

Boy howdy. It was an opening night deluge, follwed by 3-4 months of light showers and ending with a few sprinkles.
I found the first LOTR ROTK wave in early July at one Wal-Mart, about 4-8 weeks before I saw them anywhere else. It happens.
Good for this guy and all, but the price adjust con he pulled is stealing no matter how you slice it. :bandit:

That was what my "whatever" was for... LOL Well, that and the price difference. Although, I'm sure Target will carry them for a lower price. TRU, should they actually get anything NEW in, will probably have them up for $11.99.
