View Full Version : What's you favorite "talking animals" film?

I know how stupid this might seem, but I love "talking animal" movies. (motion pictures with animal actors or live-action mixed with CGI, not all-cartoon, please since Shark Tales, Fox and the Hound, Lady and the Tramp, etc. all kick butt).

What are your favorites?

My two year old, loves them all, but seems to favor Charlotte's Web (chin up song, he just loves it) Fox and the Hound is my favorite, with Madagascar is also a top favorite.

Okay, I'm not 100% clear from the way you worded that if you're counting fully animated films or not. I'm assuming not, but if you are, I'm putting in a word for The Lion King (only the first) right now.

Babe is definitely high up on the list. Great film. The sequel isn't bad, but not nearly as good.

The Elm-Chanted Forest.

I used to watch that one all the time when I would stay home sick from school.

They didn't talk in Homeward Bound. They talked in the remake. :p

There was a remake ?
Whatever one has MJFox in it, that one.

In general, I dislike Disney movies, have since I was a kid. I was forced to see Beauty and the Beast in the theater around the 7th or 8th grade and I hated it, and I never got the hype surrounding The Lion King.

Disney's not my style. However, exceptions are made when MJFox is voicing a wayward dog.

Yeah, the original was from the 50s or 60s. Same story, but with a narrator instead of the actual animals talking. I think the full name of the remake is Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey.

I must confess I've never seen the remake. I loved the original as a kid, but it's been years since I've seen it.

And although they're not talking animals films, I hope you enjoyed Atlantis and Lilo & Stitch. :)

Does Ninja Turtles count?

Sure! Who doesn't think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that talk and eat pizza aren't adorable?
