New at SirStevesGuidetoStupidComedy (SSGSC) we are going to start hosting links to the stupidist independent Star Wars amateur movies.

If they make you laugh, they belong here.

Starting off as first up is a tale that explains what really went down between Anakin, Padme, and Obi-Wan Kenobi: http://www.dipvideos.com/funny_videos/123

Get ready to laugh!

I did like the barbecue sauce on the bathrobe bit though.

This isn't exactly Star Wars, but it's Natalie Portman like you've never seen her. She is (or there is) a girl dressed as Queen Amidala in one scene in the video. I think this is from Saturday Night Live. It's rather shocking!

Here's another one. It's kind of strange and I can't tell you what it is because I don't speak Spanish (you'll see) but it's cute. It follows ANH through pretty much the whole movie and has an interesting take on SW.

Watching this video--was a blast. I especially like it when he talks about his blackness to Obi-Wan and then the little message he gives him as he strikes him down.

The Billy Joel part at the end was a little unnecessary--great songs but just a little out of place.

I'm not sure I got the point of carded Wedge m'self, it's a cute idea but it suggests he's not willing to go all the way and open a $12 figure for his movie. Other than that, I thought it was pretty cute and made a good point, I'm sick of all the "Chewie should have got a medal" comments. It started really slow for me, the puppet work for the figures over stop motion seemed cheesy, but it used it to great advantage once it got into the real point of it all.

That is quite possibly the best WORST video ever!! It's well done...for being hands.I thought it was funny as hell, and them waving their arms to simulate the fast motion of the trench, that worked way better than it deserved to. I had a hard time getting the X-wing to make visual sense, but the Falcon was too good, I fear I'll be making that variant of the Vulcan salute for a long time to come, damnit.

You can really tell it was shot nearly 20 years ago though, it LOOKS like old-school filming tech, they say super-8 and I believe it (though it's been put through compositing).

CHAD VADER IS BACK! (http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1960315984)

Episode 6 (I believe) - Chad Vader tries some other careers and attacks *something* with his lightsaber, but the Jedi Spirit appears in a vision to him and directs him to return to Empire Market!

He faces store manager Randy and demands his old job back. But another confrontation with Clint is highly likely!

YAY! I just discovered Chad Vader the other day, so glad to see episode 6. Now I want episode 7. How long do they usually take between new episodes?

I have no idea. They originally said there was only going to be 3, (up to the point where Clint helped Chad Vader get fired from Empire Mart) but the concept proved so popular that it kept going on to the episodes where Clint confronted Chad Vader in a bar brawl (Episode 4 or 5 I think) and here we are - it's still going.

I hope it continues myself, but so long as they are not rushed and the script stays funny.

I really liked the Empire Mart employees chasing the dog through the supermarket. Gosh that was funny!

Check out Niktom's videos!
This is great!

I've still only watched the first one (Talent Night):

DJ Lando
The Roof is on Fire by the Firespeeder Pilot
Luke X-wing as Michael Jackson

Leia doing "Cold-Hearted Snake" while tied to Jabba.
Oh-No! It's HAMMERTIME! LOL
And the 12" Hoth group doing Ice-Ice Baby was awesome!

I paused it just to come post this is so funny.

Han and Greedo steal that show, but Talent Night 2 was not as good as its predecessor - perhaps because of the music choices?

This looks to be a very recent commentary on the Vintage action figures by Harrison Ford and Mark Hammil - it's fun but it's not a joke:

I agree with you on it not being as good as the first one. Of course with how much time it takes to put together I'm sick of the whole thing by the end. So for a couple of days after... I'm really critical of it.

Why though? I'm not sure. The music has something to do with it but I think my element of surprise was gone. The first one was vastly different from all of my prior vids. I basically used the same "formula" just different songs and figs. I also feel much of the photography really really sucks compared to the first one.

I have over half of the songs for a third one chosen but it may get put on the back burner for a few months if not forever.

Thanks for the critique!

Tycho, that was from a VH1 special called "When Star Wars Ruled the World". It aired in 2004 around the release of the OT on DVD. Aside from the figures, they also talked about the movies. If you can track it down anywhere, you should give it a watch.

NIKTOM

There's something about CloneTroopers playing Pink Floyd that's really cool - that's got to be hit.

And the 12" Hoth team doing "Ice, Ice, Baby" cracked me up.

No - the photography and props were fine for "Talent Night Episode 2" - I liked Leia doing Gwen Staffani, but most of the music choices weren't my top picks. It does amaze me how you get some of those figures to hold tip-toe dancing poses. I'm sure there's a trick since we all know how hard it is to get those guys to stand flat-footed sometimes.

But the first episode played a lot of music I wanted to rock out to.

And thanks GENERAL GRIEVOUS!

Chad Vader Episode 7 is out! (http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=2017128785)

I'm not going to post spoilers, but this is the best one yet. There are some great "A New Hope" references and even an Indiana Jones one. The special effects have improved, and there ARE great camera shots and a special effect or two, to be sure :D

Some parts are stupid, but tolerate it as the whole thing is great overall!

I love the Chad Vader series!

Chad: It wasn't a meeting, it was a date. And I am in LOVE!

:D

Tycho

Yeah, Chad Vader is awesome! This was a great episode. The lemonizing of Clint was hilarious!

I'd actually buy Chad Vader action figures and a Empire Market playset to display them in. :crazed: - I'm not kidding.

Wave 1: Chad Vader, Clint, Clarissa

Wave 2: the Goatsmilk Guy, Emperor Randall, Cmdr. Wickstrom

Wave 3: the Vegetable Guy, the Night Clerk (with dog), the Ghost

I could see it now.

I'm excited for Season 2. It's possible that Wal-Mart or something is going to try and step in and buy Empire out. With the sale of the business, the owner might make part of the deal having a job in it for Clint. I could see him coming back as the nemesis in Season 2.

Disney World, Florida.

They have the best Star Wars attractions.

I wanted an all-Star Wars theme park and it never appeared like it would happen, but there's rumblings about doing that in Dubai.

There Star Wars fans can be taken hostage by Islamic Fundamentalist Terrorists, too.

Bring a copy of the Koran along with your lightsaber.

Yes, I think it's unfair to assess the United Arab Emirates so harshly because many of their neighboring countries don't know how to behave. But it's really not a part of the world I'd like to visit without the rest of my Battallion.

The neck movement at the beginning of the Vader part was pretty interesting, I suspect they had to modify the costume to get it to do that.

In real life, Ewan McGreggor (Obi-Wan Kenobi) is awesome with a lightsaber (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIAgELk-P6w)

In this video he plays baseball with it and even fights Chris O'Dowd who I am in a Civil War film with.

McGreggor rules and might actually be the single most proficient Star Wars actor with a lightsaber.

He uses a Master Replicas / Hasbro Anakin Skywalker lightsaber here, as O'Dowd uses the Luke ROTJ one and the television show host uses the Darth Vader one.

I practice with my own all the time (I prefer TPM Obi-Wan lightsaber to all others) but I'm sure Ewan could kick my butt with any saber he touches. Nick Gillard taught him REALLY well.

[Ewan did his own stunts in the Star Wars prequels from what I understand.]

Han Solo on Han Solo being in Star Wars Episode 7.

This confirms it.

It also suggests that since the last time we saw our heroes in ROTJ, Princess Leia cheated on Han - WITH CHEWBACCA!

I'm not making this up. Watch the video and Han Solo will confirm it himself (yes - as portrayed by Harrison Ford).
