Just a thought, why didn't Han, Leia or Luke warn the Alliance about the Death Star being guarded by a large Star Destroyer force. After all they flew threw the mass of Star Destroyers ?

because it was an imperial shuttle they probably could've/would've intercepted the signal but it is a good question

They would have risked the message being intercepted by the Empire and blowing their cover.

And also I'm sure it was expected that Star Destroyers would be there but the whole point of the Rebel fleet attacking was to make a quick run at the supposedly unarmed and, if Han and the gang did the job right, unshielded DS2. But since the shields were still up they had to turn around poste haste and fall into the trap.

Probably because they didn't fly through a fleet of Star Destroyers, they came across just 3 sentry ships - the Super Star Destroyer being escorted by 2 Star Destroyers - the fleet is nowhere in sight. And our heroes don't seem surprised to see those 3 sentry ships either, they're apprehensive about the code not being valid but they don't act like the 3 ships are a big shocker - they probably expected them.
