SSG is back online and under ownership of SirSteve! The forums are now back online. Steve and I have made a few changes to the forums, including upsizing the avatar max to 100x100 from its 75x75 constraints, and more changes will be coming soon. So welcome back guys and gals!

Also, remember that you've been gone a month and a half, so EVERY thread is over a month old, set your thread-view option accordingly to see threads.

I'm glad to be back home here at SSG and I'm happy for Steve and the way things worked out.

Thanks again for the temporary home at SWC JT.

yes. though the size limit is up i just uploaded a new 'tar and it's not showing. even after page refreshes. then i looked round and noticed no-one has a 'tar.

We're all naked. I feel exposed. But kinda like it....

hey big guy ;)

I've always associated a smell with SSG and that smell is the vague haging in the air aroma of feet in trainers and deodorised sweat. which isn't to say it's a bad whiff just a sort of musky atmospheric. like rutting stags or playfighting dogs.
It has a definite masculine feel. but a comfortable masculinity not a forced machismo sort of feel.

But y'know, after being empty all these weeks this place stinks! Jeebus someone open a window and let some air in!

This place seems oddly familiar. It's almost like I've been here before.

Hmm, I appear to be too tired to come up with anything clever, so hi everyone.

It's good to be back. It feels like having been a on really long vacation and now needing to put the house back in order. By the way, thanks JT for the temporary home with SWC.

SSG still loads a bit slowly for me though.

Is it me or is the SSG time a little fast?14 minutes fast, to be precise.

Brandon, there seems to be some issue with the DNS not propogating entirely smoothly, it should be ok by tomorrow but if you are jonesing, try www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/ instead, that seems to work for some folks.

You guys are all more than welcome.

Great to be back to the old place....Now, where did I leave that sandwich?

I think's it funny that KH has almost as many posts at the last place that he does here....

I had to go back and check SWC because I thought, "KH had 10,000 posts at SWC?!"

It was almost 1500 posts there, but he was on a record pace for sure.

It was becuase JT counted every section in post counts. If steve activated the Pit, Other, and the CB, I could be up to 20k in a day really.

But this is over three years, not 2 monthsI love how everyone clowns on you for being a post padder when here I was only about 200 posts behind you and JT not even a handful behind me.

Thanks for takin' the flak, KH!

It was becuase JT counted every section in post counts. If steve activated the Pit, Other, and the CB, I could be up to 20k in a day really. The "Other" section has been removed as a "welcome back", all threads put here in Gen Disc, and all them old posts now count in here. I noticed that your post count in particular shot up from that KH, you're a nut! :D

i'm SOOOO glad that this place is back up and running, and the SirSteve has control again. I was so confused when everything went dark, both at stevesguide and sirstevesguide.

I spent a long time lost and wandering in the dark searching blindly for my Star Wars News >>

any Very glad to see everything back W00T!

Slick, leave JT out of your list of post padders, his posts are almost always of substance...as opposed to some of us (myself included ;) ) whose posts are, uh, not exactly the most in depth.

That goes for JimJam too - he's the worst of all. lol

Followed by Slicker. :crazed:

Followed by Slicker. :crazed:I like to think of us as the comic relief. JT is the information, KH is the thread continuer, and as stated JJB and myself (you can join to I guess...) are the comic relief to keep people coming back.
