-The Blue A-Wing's package in the pic shown on the front page appears to have a GREEN stripe/accent? Not Blue? Weird...

-The Sandcrawler appears to have ZERO difference from the Galoob one. You'd think they'd add some "sand" paint or at least a detailing black wash (like with the Republic Cruiser). Nope. Nada. I'll probably only buy one then- to keep in package. I think my 10 year old Galoob Die-Cast one will remain my opened one. Sad. I was SO hoping for some attempt at improvement...

-The Executor looks AWESOME! YAY on the mini-Star Destroyer staying there! The SSD and SD size controversy will live on! :D

Can't wait! Come on Late June! :D

The concept paint on the A-wing is kinda cool, but there's really no reason for me to get any of these since I have all of these molds.

I really hope they put better paint on the Sandcrawler, that was probably the worst SW pegwarmer of the last 20 years.

Yes it will, you can thank curtis saxton mainly since he's the douche bag who likes screwing with star wars every which way. He lost the star dreadnought name battle so now he and his minions have moved into the Imperator vs Imperial class thing. He says Imperator was the original name, funny thing is the name Imperator came from fan blueprints that even the author himself Geoffrey Mandel even said the prints were unofficial. I wouldn't rely on wikipedia with regards to the naming debate.

I LOVE THE A-WING! I am STOKED to get a blue one!

The reason I love them so much? X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, if you can believe it- flying the A-Wing in that game ROCKED SO HARD since the thing was fast, manueverable, and it really could pack a punch (even if it was light on the shields :))

Selling my flotilla of 3 3/4" A-Wing toys was tough, but I kept my opened one because yeah- can't bare to part with it...

OOO! OOO! I hope they TS ULTRA the A-Wing! And update the paint job from the AF version (green or red or blue- I don't really care!) That would be AWESOME IMHO! :D

Of course, after everything is released from this year's stock, I don't know how much longer the TS series will last...:( We all think it could be a long time, but who knows, ya know? (Not to curse the line or anything :p)

Yeah, the whole SSD vs. SD thing is dumb. The sizes are clearly pointed out on Star Wars.com now. Granted that makes the TS toy off official scale, but there is a such thing as forced perspective (i.e. the regular SD's looked bigger because they were closer in the frame, vs. the SSD :p)

Yep they've done it before. Though die-cast Star Wars is a little more popular now. I remember scrambling to get the last 3 from Episode 1. Of course they are all reissued now except Sebulba's Pod Racer. I have a feeling that the Battlestar Galactica Titaniums could become scarce after a while. They are already getting harder to find. My order from AFX for the BSG wave got cancelled because of availability. Good thing I found them on the pegs.

That IS a good thing- a very good thing. The Vipers are all gone around here, but I am still hoping to find a decently painted one (note to JT- I am still going to take pics of the Cylon I have- got sidetracked is all :))

The Transformers Titaniums, while nifty, are little more than statues. I want the Unicron one but the rest? Eh. I'll pass.

Makes me wonder if Hasbro hit a vein of Die-Cast in Hong Kong or something :D

Seriously, I hope we get more original sculpts in the vehicles before they disappear again (i.e. AOTC JSF, AT-TE, etc.).

We can only hope.

For the most part the cool star wars fans really don't care about the SSD vs SD scale. The books had solidly placed it but saxton comes along and screws with everything. Maybe Empire at War will put any dispute to rest. I had the original Executor with SD but lost it. It's pretty much the same only the new pics show a weathered look.
