Interesting idea, they got some of the details right like the pre-production X-wing design, but the faces on Leia and Luke seem WAY off from what Chaykin did (which themselves weren't very accurate, but they looked different from this 3D sculpture).

Here's a shot of the original Chaykin poster: http://scoop.diamondgalleries.com/scoop_article.asp?ai=11980&si=123

I clicked the link, that $35 price is DARN good for an exclusive! Same as the regular mini-posters, I believe.

BTW, it's not mentioned in the article, but this is one of Code 3's poster sculptures.

Yeah... Code 3 had their own exclusive at C3 I believe for $25 and sold out within the first few hours... they thought they would last the entire show. I don't recall the total amount they had.

Everytime I read Chaykin, I read it as key chain.

Very nice looking

BTW The article on SSG seems to be gone now. Maybe just a temporary glitch?

I'm a proud owner of the real Chaykin poster -and I hate to say that Code 3 missed the boat on this one. LOTS of details are missing.

So apparently this isn't the finished version. I don't get that, they've got WEEKS to produce it but they can't show us a completed version, instead showing an earlier prototype.

I'm not tempted.
