I don't think we started a thread on these boards, but I do recall the thread on the swcollecting site (may it RIP). I thought i'd start one up and announce that season two is scheduled for DVD release on September 12th.

Seriously, late August/early sept is going to destroy me for DVD's: Lost (s2), Arrested Development (s3), My Name is Earl (s1) and the office (s2).

Not many extras have been announced, but i'll pass them along when i find them.

There is a thread but it's in the Other Movies forum. :D

I'm looking forward to some commentaries on the season 2 DVD.
And they better add the deleted scenes from the NBC website AND also those "the more you know" fake ads, as they were wonderful. :)

Nice work with the Fat Halpert 'tar and sigs Guyute, I've very pleased by that. :)

The most important extra for me would be the commentaries. As long as they add those, I'll be good. It'd be sweet if they had a gift set too that came with the Dwight bobblehead. . . . and a Dunder Mifflin cap. ;)

No kidding on the hat, if NBC.com would get their act together I would buy the cap AND a Dundie Award Winner shirt at the same time. :)

I take it you aren't going to order the hat from that one intl' company? I wonder what it would cost total in US dollars, for the hat and to have it shipped over here? Did you figure that out Cae?

2-1B
07-01-2006, 05:37 PM
No, I didn't figure it out...I got too lazy. I DO want one, though. Maybe I'll score one from them or just wait and see what else comes out. I should write a letter to Jenna Fischer asking where she got that hat but since I just sent that photo to get signed in the last 2 months, I don't want to seem too stalker-ish. :D

Maybe she would answer such a query on MySpace? I should get my act together over there...

She probably would. I know it's really her that operates her page, or so I've been told, and for some reason I haven't requested her as a friend yet. :crazed: I better get on that. And YES get your act together w/ your myspace account... Stalker. ;)

When she did that junket in Chicago for Slither, she asked the crowd "is anyone here a friend of mine on MySpace?"

Jenna's the real deal, at least until she gets a few big movie roles and it goes to her head. :crazed:

I really like The Office; I've watched it since the beginning. I wonder how they're going to deal with the wedding? It's supposed to be in the summer, and the show takes place around the time it's aired, but maybe they'll make an exception?

I heard there were going to be online shorts that involved the supporting characters sometime this summer; anyone know where those are? I'm too lazy to look myself.

and yeah, it's really Jenna on myspace. I am one of her 23,000 friends. She seems really cool as she does reply to some fan postings, questions, and she sometimes gives away Dunder Mifflin things. She's a doll! :crazed:

The Office webisodes are going to start July 13th. There is a little blip to the left of the screen on the website (http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/). But I hear that they are only going to be like 2 mins long. :(

Here is some really good info I found about the Season 2 Office DVD taken straight from Angela's blog over at Myspace.

Season 2 DVD scoop!
How's your summer going? Well I have a little bit of scoop for you about the Season 2 DVD. We all worked on the commentary this past week. It was great to see everyone. Doing commentary is kinda random. You sit in a cirlce at a big table facing each other. With a big microphone in front of you and a tv. They play the episode and you watch it and comment on stuff. Sometimes I'd say something and think, "Oh for goodness sakes, why'd I say that?! Who's gonna care about that tidbit?!" But we did laugh a lot. I think you can tell how much we really enjoy each other and what we get to do for a living. Now here's some scoop. . . I've been told the Season 2 DVD will have hours of deleted scenes that have never been shown anywhere and are really funny, the webisodes, the psas, the olympic promos, the commentaries, basically hours and hours of extras on a four disc set. Also Jenna shot a lot of behind the scenes footage with her camcorder and some of that is supposed to be on there as well. It should hit the stores in September a few weeks before our Season 3 starts!

The webisodes are set to start airing on nbc.com on July 13th. They are about 2 minutes in length. There are ten and they will air one a week for ten weeks---I believe. Again they feature the supporting cast. Kevin, Oscar, Phyllis, Meredith, Stanley, Roy, Jan, Angela and a cameo by Dwight.

Sounds amazing!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

and Lan Jevinson's gonna have a webisode ? SWEET !

Why does Roy have to have a webisode? He's a d**k. Why can't Darryl (the other warehouse guy) have one? And no Creed? Well at least we still get a Dwight cameo. :)

2-1B
07-02-2006, 12:09 AM
Creed has some of the best lines:

"Which one is Pam?" - he didn't even know who she was when he heard about Jim having a crush on her. :D

"Is someone making soup?" - everyone else was disgusted at the smell of Todd Packer's 'package' that Michael found on the carpet yet Creed asked about soup? :D

All I can hope is that the June 10th wedding got delayed (well, preferably cancelled :D ) but hopefully postponed, at least.

If Season 3 opens with Pam married to that dork Roy, I'm gonna be MEGA irate.

If there even is a wedding, it would probably not happen off-screen. Maybe it would be the Season 3 finale? Hopefully Pam will leave Roy at the altar. :crosses fingers: Anyway, back to Creed. I loved him in Casino Night: "I've never owned a refrigerator before." He's so unbelievably cheap! :D

What about when Jim gets the shirt from Creed when Michael decides to do the "Yankee Swap". Jim says something to the effect of 'It's like he went into his closet, grabbed an old shirt and threw it into a bag.'

and Creed is like "Yea, that's what I did."

I'm pretty sure I don't have the quotes right, but the sequence is awesome none-the-less. lol

I think Casino Night is Creed's best episode, what with his penchant for stealing and all..."It's just something I do." lol

And then when Bob Vance, Vance Refridgeration ( lol ) announces Creed has the highest chip count, he dumps out the rest of the stolen chips from his sleeve. lol lol lol

I really like the two webisodes they got up right now. The more i watch, the more and more i become a fan of Kevin. Hell, i've always been a fan, but he just kills me with some of his random comments and facial expressions. Regarding the missing $$: "This is the first i've heard of it!" He just cracks me up.

What about Kevin's remark about Phyllis's Vance Ref. credit card: "An emergency like, you have an ice cream cake and you're in the sun and it's melting." lol

Angela's line about the obvious suspect is Michael but since he is the boss they have to "pretend" to ask other people first, was great too. lol

I wish these darn webisodes were longer. 5 minutes would be really sweet.

This was probably the funniest webisode yet. Stanley just cracks me up in how giddy he is about how somebody got off with $3,000.

"That's FANTASTIC!....I hope they bought something nice, and i hope you never catch them."

all we need now is Jim to show up and do an impression of him. "i do not think that is funny.............."

Also, James Gunn replied to my email that I sent through his website, so that was cool. :)

Looks like I'm on hold for that hat BUT a good friend of mine has made some OUTSTANDING bootleg shirts with the Dunder Mifflin, Inc. logo by just doing his own iron on transfers. They look really good, I was fooled the first time I saw it. So I'm gonna work on that for now.

Oh, and I want to get a jersey with the name "From Dwight" on the back. :crazed:

UKW, Jenna put up a nice blog on her new Quebec - sounds interesting. :) Not to mention the blog about returning to the set for Season 3 of The Office...she sounds excited by the first episode's script so hopefully all will be revealed about what happened with Pam and Jim?

I sure hope Pam didn't marry Roy over the summer. :(

1. Yeah, Jenna confirmed that the show is in real time, so when it starts in September, it'll BE September in their little world. My guess is they'll toy with us the entire episode about the wedding and yay/nay will get revealed.

2. Webisode 7: holy crap, when Kevin said that line about using $2,800 in petty cash to gamble on the Pistons, i couldn't stop laughing. "I lost it and then the Pistons won, so i got it back. Go Pistons." Oh, that was hysterical.

3. Webisode 8: Dude, Kevin gets BETTER with each episode. The hateful interaction between him and Angela is just great. I loved Oscar's "That.....was uncomfortable." and Kevin's little walk to Michael's office. Classic.

and i had to laugh at how they were waiting for "Michael" to leave his office, but you never saw him, except a brief blip of the back of his head. Oh, not Steve Carell! :crazed:

Yea, and this is actually happening all over the nation. See thread (http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=477437). Evidentally they have put price tags and posters out that say $17.99 for S2 and the computer rings them up just the same. According to Jenna's blog, her and john are going to be on the Today show on Thursday September 21st between 8-8:45am (9-9:45am Central Time).

I think she has that reversed: 8:00-8:45 CENTRAL time and 9-9:45 EASTERN.

Also, her and John are signing autographs at the NBC store this week to the first 45 people who buy the second season of the Office. I think that's Thursday too. But it's just a promo thing, so they only get half an hour. Still, would be cool.

K, THAT SHOULD be enough: what a fantastic episode. I loved some of the assinine things that Michael did tonight and I was on the edge of my seat as I wasn't sure if he was going to embrace Oscar or not. And i got kinda worried cos i thought with all this stuff with Oscar, he might quit and/or leave the show. He's a minor character, but some of his comments are classic, especially when he was complaining about Angela's baby poster. Glad to see he's staying. and dude, Kevin GIGGLING for pretty much the entire episode. Good stuff.

Now onto the meat: I was pretty damn shocked to see Ryan sitting in Jim's seat. What a surprise that was, and, c'mon, Dwights crying fest was hysterical stuff. I am glad that Pam dropped Roy (who is looking thin these days; good for you!) but i'll admit, when the episode first started, I thought for SURE she went through with it. I was really surprised when she talked about what happened and I thought FOR SURE Jim would stop by and pick her up at the end or something, but alas, the writers keep us going. I am curious if Jim is going to start any romances with any new girls (but we all know eventually, he'll end up with Pam) and I loved the brief nod to the first season with the Jello. And what a great addition Ed Helms is! And i think that's about it. Great episode all around and i'm REALLY excited for season 3! Cheers! :crazed:

If the writers handle the show like I think they will, we'll get two "Offices" in the same show. Big Tuna Jim pushing Ed Helms' buttons is going to make for some classic stuff.

Oh, and I want that gaydar.

I LOVED how Jim causes Dwight grief, even though he's so far away. And that little smile and pondering expression from Pam was so well done. and i loved that ending dialogue by michael talking about if two people find each other..blahlbah blah and they show Pam and Jim. Awesome.

Perfect way to start the season and plant the seeds for a great story run, I'm sure. Speaking of nods to the first season, don't forget Mr. Brown giving the diversity speech to the Stamford branch. :crazed:

Creed's comments were classic, the whole episode pretty much rocked and I am drawn in for another go round. :) :) :)

Only think I didn't like about the episode was Kevin, his laughing seems dumb to me because as a fat guy he should be more sympathetic to other people who are "different."

Did you see how happy Kelly was when Michael and Oscar kissed ? lol lol lol

Congrats to the future Mrs. Phyllis Vance of Vance Refridgeration.

I'm sure I posted this before (meh, it bears repeating lol lol lol ) but my all time favorite Jim-Look-To-The-Camera was when Toby said you should disclose any office relationship to HR, to which Phyllis asked "even a one night stand?"

Ok, I'm beating a dead horse with the "my favorite part was," but here goes...

The look on Dwight's face at the thought of Angela with another woman.

Michael: "Oh look, it's Oscar's roomate. Oh, I wonder if he knows."

Only think I didn't like about the episode was Kevin, his laughing seems dumb to me because as a fat guy he should be more sympathetic to other people who are "different."

I don't think the laughing was meant to be mean-spirited, as much as it was supposed to convey his excitement over officially knowing a gay person. Kevin seems to have a very adolescent attitude torwards sex, with all the impish grins whenever inuendo peppers a conversation. The laughing reminded me more of something like Beavis and Butthead laughing at a teacher saying "vagina" in a sex ed class.

Well, I don't know if I took it as "mean" so much, I guess just as juvenile like you said...still, when Michael said "alright, everybody in the conference room, I don't care if you're gay or straight or a lesbian or...OVERWEIGHT." :D

It was a good episode.

I just watched it this morning for the 4th time already.

On a serious note, the thing I love about the gay humor (and other humor on the show, or humour as JP would spell it ;) ) is that they don't use it for cheap laughs (like, ohhhhhh, say, Will & Grace  ) but rather they pull off the gay jokes at the expense of the non-gay people who do and say goofy things.

Good episode, indeed ! :)

One little thing I loved about the episode was Dwight trying to kick Oscar after he pushed Angela out of the way. This one was probably my second favorite episode after "The Injury". I swear, nothing will make me laugh more than this dialogue:

Dwight: Where are we going?

Jim: We're going to Chuckie Cheese.

Michael: Aw, man. I'm so sick of Chuckie Cheese.

Jim: We're going to the hospital, Michael.

I have so many favorite parts from last night, too many to type right now but since someone mentioned Creed introducing himself to Meredith, I'll add how he called Angela "Andrea" when defining her as the office *****. lol lol lol

"Don't Monkey Me!"

That caught me COMPLETELY off guard. What I noticed too is when Angela storms off, he EATS some of her food! Just chomps away. Creed is really shining in the first two episodes so far and he's only had what, like 4 lines?

But yeah, last episode was fantastic. I really didn't expect to see Angela in Dwight's room and how Jim reacted was just fantastic.

Michael is just doing a great job of becoming MORE of an *** than he has in previous seasons? Carel is doing a great job this season.

and how great was it when Kelly kept feeding Ryan at the dinner table?!?? Holy God, that was good stuff.

and c'mon, how adorable was Toby being all Hugh Grant around Pam? I dunno if anything could go down there, but I smell something with those two and it's not Michael's office.

Ryan and Kelly are great, the way he says "I don't like ketchup" and she replies "you love ketchup" while cramming it in his mouth is hilarious. :D
But WHY would he stay with her? Ryan seems like a smooth and confident guy, why would he get trapped with her like that? She's a cutie, for sure, but wayyyyyyyy too yappy as the show has proven time and again. :crazed:

Pretty hysterical episode tonight. It was cool seeing Pam actually not in her usual garb and Roy's reaction was great. and seriously, how hysterical was Creed.."Just staring....." Dude is hysterical.

I really enjoyed the Dwight/Angela subplot and his reaction when Michael busted him. I'm hunting for a screenshot of him standing on that paper, with the LIAR title around his neck.

And lastly, I did like the subplot with Jim and his new work pals playing "Call of Duty." Pretty good stuff!

1. "He's dead, he died.........without even his head to console him."- GENIUS AND HYSTERICAL. I damn near fell off my couch.
2. Dwight being Dwight. Stomping out that bird. I also enjoyed the "Put my head on ice" comment to Angela.
3. Pam, Ryan and Kevin passing off movies as their relatives. I loved Kevin's attempt at "Weekend at Bernie's" and that being the only movie Michael had seen, caught him. Kevin just cracks me up when he tries to be wiley.

The previews for this week look GREAT. Jim & Pam. eeek!

Pretty decent episode tonight, not one of the better ones. The interaction at the Stamford branch was GREAT and Jim and Andy singing the Cardigans was hysterical stuff. I enjoyed the sub plot with Dwight and Ryan and how kooky was his cousin?!!? The egging and drinking was great.

Stanley and Michael teaming up for pretzels was great; their high five was good stuff.

but c'mon, the highlight was FINALLY Pam and Jim talking. It was great how they showed her talking on the phone and panned out to show his seat. and c'mon how fantastic was it that Pam confused "28 days later" with "28 days?!?" Awesome for SO MANY reasons.

From "Schrute Space"

Beets and Me

"It is difficult to believe how the hardy, crunchy often rough looking exterior of raw beets can be transformed into something wonderfully soft and buttery once they are cooked."
-The Internet

"Beets have the highest sugar content of all vegetables, yet are very low in calories."
-From a website

Varieties
Ruby Red - early crop, flat to globular root

Detroit Dark Red - main crop, globular root
Monogerm - single-seeded variety

Formanova - long tubular root

Crobsy Greentop

Red Ace

There are also golden beets. They are not made out of gold, but just gold in hue. I love the word hue. Why isn’t it used more? It only seems to be used in relation to the X-men, ie: Hue Jackman.

There are three sub-species of beet, The Sea Beet, the Beta Vulgaris and Chard. Chard is often called "swiss chard" because it is from Switzerland and the the swiss eat it like candy. I wish I could grow candy. But candy doesn’t grow on farms. At least not in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Here’s what they look like:

http://blogs.nbc.com/office/images/beets.gif

The enemies of the beet are the cutworm and the aphid. They are horrible. They eat and infest beets. They are of Satan. The black cutworm larvae is gray to dark brown above and has a greasy appearance. Faint light stripes run lengthwise down the body.

My great great grandfather Manheim cultivated Beets in Manheim, Germany. Some of the worlds greatest emporers and Czars have sipped Borscht made from the Beets of a Schrute. Then they wiped their Germanic lips and went off to conquer, warm tummies filled with my beet juice.

How does that make me feel? One word: Impotant.

Farming begins with the soil. That is why each day at dawn, Mose and I go to various points of the farm and taste the dirt. Literally. You can tell the PH and what I call the ‘loam factor’ with different parts of the tongue. Come to Schute farm at dawn and you will see the sillouettes of two lanky German farmers swirling dirt in their mouths as if it was a fine wine.

Do you have any beet stories or recipes or fun facts or pictures or lore, feel free to post below. Mose is known to read the responses and maybe he’ll learn something worth passing on to me, his cousin, Dwight.

So, i'm about one season into the UK version of "The Office" and i must say it's a hoot. You can really see how the US version took some stuff from the UK and expanded on it. I will say that Gervais and his character of David Brent is FAAAAAAAAAR dirtier than Michael Scott and the overall show is a bit more vulgar and full of more sex talk then the US version. Not that it's bad,but i'm assuming that the BBC allows more stuff than NBC. In fact, David Brent really kinda creeps me out. I did my laugh my a-- off when he busted out the guitar. And I will say that the Tim/Dawn interaction is pretty solid, simply because i love both of those actors, especially Martin Freeman. Him and Krasinski could be seperated at birth: their facial expressions are so identical it's scary. And now, i'm not up to the second season and the "dancing" episode. hehehe

and side note: "The Office" this week is a rerun. So, spend your Thursday........probably watching the rerun.

Great episode tonight! A couple of observations: So Dwight and Angela are done? Intersting how we saw Roy the most dressed up ever and he walked out right after coming in (yes I know he saw Pam dancing with that dude). Why didn't Jim answer Pam's text? I've been drunk and I still had the presence of mind to check for calls/texts. What's up with Jim's bike and the basket? In "Email Surveillance" we see a mountain bike in Jim's bedroom, what happened to that? And finally Michael puckering up for Pam!

JJB- dude, apparently you've never been drunk enough, my friend. He didn't answer the text cos he didn't hear the phone cos ya know, its' a show and he was DRUNK.

No way Angela and Dwight are done; I just think she wasn't happy with Dwight and his participation in a religion her uptight a-- doesn't like. And when Michael was leaning in, I kept mumbling, "no no no no no no no." I did like Pam teaching him some rules in the car: "One more word and i'm pulling over." And it was good to see casual Pam out on the town!

and i was laughing hysterically when the two fellas were singing and drunky. Ed Helms and the inflatable bed: great stuff.

I'm not saying he'd hear the initial buzz but I'm guessing it keeps buzzing untill he reads that message. So with that in mind I'd think he would have seen in... especially since it was on his desk rumbling not in a pocket where it is harder to notice.

I really loved last night's episode. I think it shows an actor is doing a great job with their character when you want to beat them over the head with a lead pipe. LOL What;s-her-face, the conservative one who doesn't think there should be any diversity or ethinicity is so spot on. I think every office has one of these idiots who needs to get a clue. JP, funny you mention that because I have a perfect example for you as well...but it might border on R&P so I'll PM it to you. Maybe I could sneak it in here by comparing it to The Office but I don't want to ruffle any feathers.

JMG, I read the spoilers you posted and I am very frustrated (not because you posted it) because when I saw the listing of upcoming episode titles awhile, the one coming up next week is indeed titled with that exact spoiler you posted. They are a little too blunt with their titles sometimes, oh well ! It's going to be great though, I'm sure.

This was a great episode. I loved when Pam showed up and said "At least I didn't dress as a slutty cheerleader. Was that mean?" lol And Dwight showing up in Indian garb was a riot. But my favorite part of the episode was when Michael passed out the Kama Sutra pamphlets.

Creed: "That's the union of the monkey."
Meredith: "Oh, that's what they call it."
Kevin: "This is the best meeting ever."

I think i missed that. I'll have to rewatch the episode and see what else i missed. I was talking on the phone during part of the episode.

However, what i know what was hilarious:
1. Dwight getting faxes from Future Dwight. That was great.
2. Ed Helms reaction to Stamford closing down; that was also good stuff.
3. Dwight and the title of Michael Scott's book.
4. The end where Jim invites Karen to Scranton.
5. Poor Ryan. Just when he thought he was out, she keeps pulling him back in!!
6. And when they showed Kelly, all weepy, saying, "If i stay and Ryan leaves, I'll kill myself, like in "Romeo and Juliet.".....the claire Danes one" that was great stuff.

can't wait for next week! :crazed:

great idea! I never considered watching the PC!! Here are the things I noticed were in the Producers cut and not in the aired episode (i might be wrong on this though, so if i'm wrong, jump in and let me know):
1. Kevin asking Pam if she knows what's going on with Jan and Michael; he then motions for her to call him and then exchange "the rock." The look on her face is priceless.
2. The scene with Michael and Jan seemed longer, with more stuff going on.
3. Yeah, that scene where Michael tells the office is definately extended. If memory serves, it cuts to a different scene right after michael make that HYSTERICAL face with his teeth all sticking out. And yes, Dwight telling the camera to back off wasn't aired.
4. Ed Helms telling their Stamford branch boss to take a bow and I think Jim's comment about how the whole thing is like a high school reunion and them saying, "we're going to move in with you.....FOREVER" might have not been aired.
5. The Meredith sex pact thing was DEFINATELY not on air!
6. Was creed taking pictures on his digital camera aired?
7. Creed pawning off his Office supplies wasn't aired
8. Pam signing Kelly's....book thing wasn't aired.
9. Roy tryin' to mack on Pam about art school wasn't aired
10. Dwight going through trash wasn't aired!
11. Stanley being PO'd about not retiring was new.

This directors cut version was much better than what was aired. I'm kinda shocked really. Can't wait for next week.

I read that the November 30th episode is written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. That should be a great episode.

I havne't watched the tv cut (yet) so I can't say for sure but I would think the producers cut would be better because there was "more show to see." It was about 50% longer so alot of extra stuff/longer takes can be in there.

I just watched the tv cut and I noticed a few things different compared to the producers cut that JMG didn't mention:

Roy and Angela talking is extended, Angela says something nice about Roy and Kevin makes a noise to which Angela says "grow up!"

Roy's talking head about the future/Pam is different.

Jan/Josh/Jim scene was there but cut in two parts around Michael/Dwight knocking on the CFO's door (I think).

I meant to post sooner, but time has slipped away.

Last week's episode was HYSTERICAL. I laughed my arse off many a times, but a few highlights:
- Kevin was GREAT. Everything he said was fantastic. I loved his pure giddy, excitement when he called that Martin was the convict. "Yeah!!"
- Dwight and his anger about Martin. When he went over to Martin with that $$ in his pocket, that was great. He had his a-- so high up in the air. My god, that was great.
- Creed and his paperclips; great.
- Michael and his baby voice. Holy God, that was SO awkward. And his giggle after he said, "Breasts!" was hysterical.
- Andy hitting on Pam; holy crap, that was one of the funniest moments in the series. The pure look of shock on Pam's face was priceless and how Jim casually turned around and the exchange of glances was fantastic.
- Prison Mike. So fantastic. His comment about the Dementors had me in tears. That's my next avatar after "Heroes." DIBS.

Next new episode is on the 14th and then they're done till next year.

Holy crap, this episode was fantastical. Highlights:

- Kevin; he was great tonight. Everything from wandering around in his Dunder Mifflin robe (I want one!) to his cover of "You Oughta Know" and wanting more cupcakes. But his confused expression at Toby's admiration for his robe was fantastic!
- "Just take it from Toby." Great.
- Dwight and the goose. I wish NBC hadn't played that "it's a christmas miracle!" on the commercial as it would've been funnier to see it fresh. Still, good stuff.
- The scenes at the restaurant were great. I loved Jim playing with Dwight (finally dude!) and seeing Michael and Andy drunk and on the prowl was great.
- Jim: so, wait, what?!? I liked him trying to console michael, but that speech he gave and his reconsoliation with Pam leads me back to the conclusion that he still loves Pam to no end! ah!
- Seeing everybody Karoke was great; Creed and even Angela. I almost didn't hate her for that 2 minutes.
- OSCAR!! Great one liner: "No, still too soon."
- I loved Stanley's facial expression when he was deciding what party to go to. He makes some of the best faces.
- I am RATHER curious to find out who Michael is taking to Sandals with him. Maybe Jan?!?! who?!!?!?

Anyway, fantastic episode!

By the way, were the 2 girls they brought to the party the same girls at the restaurant? I think they may have been different. If they were then that's super funny. Only further highlighting the sterotype that it's hard to tell them apart.

I loved how Dwight acted around Pam. When he took off his coat, i was just about to say, "awww" and then he wrapped it around his waist and mumbled, 'it's hot in here." I nearly fell off my couch. But I really did enjoy how he was able to comfort Pam.......for about 45 seconds. Still, he had good intentions.

TOTALLY didn't see that ending coming (that's what she said) and michael's facial expressions this episode were awesome. And Kevin was in top form, "Oh, and how was Scottsdale?" That smirk is great. And keeping the poster! hysterical!

And I don't like Pam getting friendly with Roy. Run Pam, run!

I prefer the British version. Although I like the main actor in his other films.

I enjoyed the British version as well although I prefer the US version. The characters are much more developed and I find them much more intriguing. Although, this is probably because the UK version only has about 12 episodes along with the special, but still. Although, the Dawn and Tim saga was very well done and the conclusion was terrific. Plus, I had no sympathy at all for David Brent. He was an obnoxious, arrogant, self centered schmuck and it was often really hard to watch him. I did love some of his moments, but i find Michael scott to be a far better character. But hey, just me. :) I did buy season 1 of "Extras" today though. :)

I read that there are going to be two episodes this season directed by two pretty sweet directors: Joss Whedon and J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias, etc). Should be FANTASTIC.

"In your head...in your head...zombie...zombie" :D BTW, I had no idea Dwight would be back so fast. I also don't think Andy and Karen will stay around much longer.

I really hope they keep Andy and Karen around for a while as it would make Jim's transfer and this whole merger be one pointless writing exercise. Plus, it would allow for a good amount of conflict between Jim and Karen and not to mention, c'mon, Dwight and Andy!!

This episode started off slow, but got much better. I loved Pam's reaction, "I'm actually really b- YES!" And how they had this system for Jim shoving things in the ceiling while Pam was lookout; it was as though they had done it dozens of times before. Pretty hysterical episode.

Good episode. A few observations ...

-I really liked how Michael wasn't as over-the-top in this episode. I hope he is more like that the rest of the way as he can get no my nerves sometimes.

-Andy was over-the-top annoying in last night's episode. He really bothered me. Although he being Dwight's nemesis makes for good future episodes.

-I sure hope Karen stays. She's the best looking girl they've ever had on that show. Maybe she'll hook up with another coworker.

The Directors cut was awesome and is better than what aired. There were a few great scenes with Creed along with Michael and his car's roof not working right. We got a bit more of Oscar and a great scene with Pam and Angela. Lemme think here.....a little blip with Michael and Jim and that's all off the top off my head. Oh yeah, a GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT scene between Pam, Michael and Phyllis. I almost fell off my chair.

I still love Kevin's immature giggling and his "how was your gaycation?" comment to Oscar. And i loved how Oscar just laughed it off and went about this day, kinda shows how they're pretty decent friends. Be sure to check it out!

Last night's episode was awesome all around . . . Michael getting annoyed at Andy, Dwight coming back (and when he thought the party was for him), and Jim admitting he still had feelings for Pam. It seemed like it was all getting back to "normal," which was nice to see. I actually missed the first few minutes (it's on tape, though) so I'll definitely be watching the whole thing soon.

Yet another great episode!!! Andy did start to get to me but I liked how Michael didn't go for it. If you're a fan check out the producers cut its even better then what was shown on tv!

Another episode that knocked it out of the park. "Primanachta". ;) Finally the Packman returned! Meredith telling Angela to shut up was a hoot. I think my ribs cracked from laughing at Michael in the sex shop. :D The Ben Franklin/stripper scenario was hilarious. "Dwight wants your man meat." :p Don't know why Andy wasn't in this episode.

Don't know why Andy wasn't in this episode.

If you watch the producers cut of the previous episode it ends with Andy saying that Michael talked to corporate and they decided he should go to school..... anger management school but school none the less.:D

I check out http://officetally.com/ for spoilers and other info and there was a link to this site. http://www.hrheroblogs.com/ Its written by somebody who works in HR and adds up the costs of Michael's PC mistakes. Some decent stuff there to read.

I really enjoyed this episode. Dwight was cracking me up in the beginning and Pam's reaction to michael and the bra bit was great. Kevin and his staring at the stripper was good stuff and Roy's comment about Pam's art was so assinine and hysterical.

Good stuff!

I liked Dwight's reaction to Mike's attempting to show his future son how to jump a car, and his suggestion that Mike's son may be a murderer who may have even been the one to kill Mike made me laugh more than any other part of the episode. Mike's declaring primae noctis was good, and I loved that Jim called a Ben Franklin impersonator instead of a stripper. Dwight's attempting to out Franklin as an impersonator was kind of strange but worked well enough in the exaggerated context of the show.

I don't know why I have so little to comment on. I distinctly remember laughing quite a bit.

How about the girls busting Franklin's chops about having affairs and syph? Michael asking who wants his "man meat?" Ryan asking Michael if that was the Foreman grill he burnt himself on and Michael saying that he "washed the foot off of it!!!" Ben Franklin you're kind of a sleeze.

And last but not least SHUT UP ANGELA!!!!

Great episode! I loved how Michael had to be involved in every aspect of the wedding, especially when he tried to wheel Phylis's dad down the aisle. "This is bulls***." :D And at the reception. "To quote The Princess Bride: "Mawwiage..." And finally...Kevin's band LIVE! With a nice cover of "Roxanne", btw.

PS Did anyone else see Ryan knock the bouqet of flowers out of Kelly's reach? :D

YES! He came out of nowhere and slapped those away to Toby's lady. and toby's giddiness about it was hilarious.

Very great episode. I almost wet myself in the beginning with Jim's Pavlov's Dog experiment. That was BEYOND clever. I also liked how the Jim/Pam thing is starting to move along a tad, but c'mon Pam, don't get back with Roy! Just shows Roy's character trapping Pam when she's upset about the wedding. And Dwight trying to find wedding crashers was good.

and SCRANTONICITY! So excited to hear them, finally!

Oh, you're completely right, JJB. Too much Michael when he's acting like that isn't that funny, it's just really really awkward. I kept looking at the ceiling as watching the TV was too painful. I did love his anger at her father in the wheelchair when he got up and how michael was dragging it up there and then got into the wedding lineup. but his moments in the church and his speech were so incredibly awkward it was borderline embarrasing and not funny. Still, the episode had some great moments.

I read last winter that the schedules of everybody couldn't work out, so it's not happening at the moment. Hopefully, some day that'll go down though. Cos, it'd be a huge geek moment if Dwight were to meet Gareth and Jim to meet Tim. Seriously. :lipsrsealed:

God I hope that doesn't happen, or this show will have jumped the shark. :(

Ricky Gervais would be fine, but if they had any of the other people from that inferior BBC version do a cameo, it would be a terrible thing.

Just out of curiosity, why would you consider that to be jumping the shark?

Because I really don't like the BBC version, I couldn't even get through a whole season it was that unfunny...now if they bring in inferior characters as a wink wink nod nod to the original, I think that would be terrible, just a disaster if the NBC version has to play down to that level. Dwight is a stroke of genius while Gareth is just plain annoying, so what's to work with there? I can't see any good coming out of it.

Now if they brought in Gervais to have a showdown with Carrell, I could see that working for a couple episodes...but as for the rest of the BBC cast, NO WAY.

I think it would taint the quality of the NBC show and I would rather they steer clear of that.

I've never watched an episode of the BBC version, and really have no interest in doing so, for whatever reason. I'd prefer it if they left the cast "as is" until the end of this season, there are too many interesting and funny things that could happen over the next 9 (8? 10?) episodes without worrying about cameos.

As far as some members of the orginal show showing up in the US version I'd say thats all rumor. Production wise they are only a couple of episodes ahead of what is being shown. Now could they show up? Yeah probably.
