R4 the indestructable

So I'm watching the 1st season animated Clone Wars with my daughter the other day and Anakin's R4 unit gets blasted before his fight with Ventress....then I'm watching ROTS after I put her to bed (she's too young to see that intensity yet), and Kenobi's R4 unit gets decapitated...

Both R4 units look the same (in color)....are they? :Ponder:

Most likely not. Before the ROTS starfighters, the astro droids were permanently fixed inside their socket. So, Anakin and Obi-Wan had separate droids for their starfighters. Both just happened to be R4 units.
