I hope this is in the right category...

I wanted to let my fellow SSG'ers know about the problems I've encountered with Corner Store Comics regarding my Hot Toys Robocop figure.

First, they completely skipped over my pre-order when the rest of the orders were processed. The error wasn't even found until I called last Tuesday to find out what was going on. While polite on the phone, they never did clearly explain why the order was skipped.

OK...mistakes happen...no problem...

At that point, I was immediately charged for Robo and told that they would upgrade me from UPS Ground to USPS Priority at no extra charge because of their error (it was a free shipping item) and it would be sent out last Wednesday.

When I didn't receive the figure today via USPS, I called CSC again to get the tracking number. At that point, I learned two things:

1) They still shipped it out UPS Ground...not USPS Priority as promised.

2) According to the tracking info, it wasn't even shipped out until last Friday...two days AFTER the promised shipping date and three days after I was charged.

While they do have a nice selection of products at decent prices, I'd think twice about ordering from them in the future if I were any of you. In fact, I'm finished with them. I'll order from retailers in the future.

Just wanted to get that out there as a warning to others.

BTW, has anyone else had this problem??

I only ever bought one thing from them, the recently released NECA Balrog, and had no problem with them. In fact, they were very pleasent to deal with. They answered my emails promptly and went out of their way to accomodate me.

Same with me. Robo was my second order, and I chose them because my first order (SOTA's "Now Playing" Darkman figure) was so quick, smooth, and painless. I was shocked how fast it arrived.

This though...complete disappointment.

What did it for me was the fact they didn't follow through with their promised shipping upgrade and that they didn't even ship it out until the end of the week!! In this case, yeah I expected more specialized treatment because they goofed up and didn't process my order with everyone else.

I agree with this. I dealt with them for my DC Superheroes wave 3 and it arrived promptly. I still have the last wave of the X3 figures on order with them. NO problems, yet...knock on wood. :lipsrsealed:

Well, I am glad to hear that my experience seems to be in the minority. I hope your luck holds out.

BTW, I just noticed the new "multi-quote" function. Very cool!!!!

CSC did get back to me with a full, detailed explanation of what happened. Apparently, it all came down to my order not really being lost but part of an in-queue 2nd shipment from Sideshow to them. As for the USPS vs. UPS mishap, it was also a victim of my Robocop being partially in-queue.

I do commend them for replying in this manner. However, I do think they should have explained this to me in the first place (I was never told it was coming out of a 2nd allotment...which I would've fully understood) and they should've doubled checked everything personally. They're not a large company, and mine was a very strange circumstance which would've benefitted from verification.

For my part, I am willing to give them another try but on an In-Stock order only. I won't be pre-ordering from them anymore. If I have two botched orders in a row, then any rational person would wash their hands of the company.
