09-05-2006, 06:02 PM
I've been advised the collection project needs to be wrapped up by the end of this year, if possible. Soooooooo, with y'all's help, I'm hoping we can get this done. Heyyyyyyyy, we can DO this job  . What a terrific effort to keep alive the efforts and collection appreciation of Marilyn and Jean  .
I'm here and online for any immediate replies. Tootles, all. And, tomorrow is INVENTORY day for the boxes here, so we can get to the order-pulling and shipping.

Unfortunately, I only have YAHOO and MSN IM - I really enjoyed AIM, when I worked at a call center, as they used it for us to communicate with the Intuit Corporate office in Tucson.
Yes, I have your list - I should've specified - I apologize :ermm: , Scott. (I couldn't find an "embarrassed" smiley - oh HERE it is :o . Gee, I thought that was a yawn or something.
It's been a little hard to focus only on this, which is what I'd PREFER to do, since Mom keeps needing things. She's going to Central City, where they have casinos, on Saturday and she'll sit and push the buttons on slot machines, so I'll have at least 6 hours then, but am doing the box-lists before.
If you're able to YAHOO or MSN IM, let me know and I'll turn on whatever you prefer.
I'll be back after making dinner. Mom & I are going to a support meeting later, but I'll check in when we return.
carolyn :) :) :)

I, too, already sent you a PM with all of my info and what not.
As stated in the PM no rush whatsoever. Send it out at your leisure and just let me know the damage and I'll promptly get it out and thank you again.

I've already e-mailed Carolyn separately, but I want to post a public thank you for the items I received today. Everything was packed with care and arrived in excellent shape. I'm honored to have items from Marilyn's collection.

Hi Carolyn, the items we talked about are to be found in this thread: Vulcantouch-items Spoken For - Help! (http://forums.sirstevesguide.com/showthread.php?t=32569) , post #7 and #13. Thanks!

I should've specified the lists that had yet to be submitted or any changes to already-received lists :o . My original post must've looked like a "the dog ate your lists" post :ermm:. I'd done a copy/paste to individual WORD documents with updates, location status, etc. on them.
Again, please forgive the fat old lady for not having clarified.

Carolyn, I need you to e-mail* me the shipping cost if you know it, so I can get a check off in the mail to you, and one off to Marilyns husband for the 2 helmets. One Stormtrooper, and one Rebel pilot. Thanks!
*My PM box is full, and I don't have time tonight to clean it out.

We have to take Mom's car to a State Emissions Inspection Station mechanic tomorrow for a diagnostic. Her car won't go much past 35 mph w/o a hill or momentum and I'm really hoping he won't tell us it'll be a new engine or something like that. It's a tired '84 Cherokee on its 2nd engine. My nephews replaced the master brake cylinder, did an oil change, the plugs were fine, it's just short on power and when they run the test, they have to get it to 55mph for the CO level. Sooooooooooooo (you REALLY didn't need to know that, did you? --sorry) we'll be out and will stop thru the PO with your helmets packed. I'm thinking it shouldn't be more than $5 - going media mail. I'll insure them, of course and will e-mail you the postage amount.
Thanks for being so patient. Two very good friends of Jean's had asked to come visit us and we enjoyed a VERY nice afternoon and lunch, here. Mom and I went to a Heartbeat meeting, last night (suicide survivors) and we think it may help us, so we'll be going again, next month.
I did get more pictures from Marcel Gautier, who came w/Mara Norman (in previous pictures) and I'll be getting them put on CD to share w/y'all.

Carolyn don't hurry please!! There is time for everything.

It's hard to do things, lately, but it's good for me and Mike's been paying for a storage facility all this time and the mission now has a preferred completion date (boy, that sounded official, didn't it? ).
I won't rush thru it, must make sure it's done correctly, but still I want to see it through for them. I'm just very thankful y'all have been so helpful in all this.
Enjoy the day:thumbsup:

I got my Riddell helmets today in the mail! Thank You! I also read the "thank you" card from you. Payment went out yesterday, sorry, it was my first chance I had to get to the post office while it was open.
The helmets look wonderful, and complete my collection!

I'm so happy they're safe in your hands and now in residence of bobafrett. I'll be forwarding payment to Mike as soon as it arrives.
My EMG (electromyography) for carpal tunnel diagnosis showed - guess what?? I have carpal tunnel in both hands!! Well, who knew? :D Afterwards, Mom wanted to stop by Shooting Star Cafe, where we enjoyed tea and cookies (cookies? Mom's was 7" in diameter  and mine was 5---more like baked REAL ESTATElol ). Mara's Mom makes THE most wonderful truffles  . Guaranteed to satisfy any chocoholic. Jéan and I were be-truffled one wintry Thursday evening, before a filmfest there. Yum!
Anyway, Mom was a bit disappointed, Mara wasn't there, today, and we talked about the possibility that she's looking for Jéan or the feeling that came with going places with him. We're still feeling lost and empty without him, especially when something brings his preferences and things enjoyed to mind - and most EVERYTHING does  . But I also told her it would take time to heal and it's been just past a month.
Sooooooooo, tomorrow, we'll enjoy warmer weather and appreciate what we had in his company.
Sorry, didn't mean to ramble, it's been a bit of a sniffy-drippy day here. Y'all enjoy the helmets. They're TOO BEAUTIFUL!!!
Take care, BF
