Why are the titanium figures so much ????? I mean I got picked up the new titanium Optimus Prime at Walmart for $5.00 and the thing transforms..... We get decent sculpts with minium articulation for $17 and transformers for $5. What gives

that titanium optimus prime that transforms is $14.99 for the rest of us that aren't so fortunate to have a WM with a glitch in the pricing system ;)

consider yourself very, very lucky!

Heck I got mine at Target for 5 bucks and they still havent changed the shelf tag. I am awaiting more ot be put out for that price. I also got the Megatron. I left them in vehicle mode as transforming them is a pain in the rump.&

transforming them is a problem, standing them up once they're transformed is a problem, getting them to stay together is a problem...megatron in particular has extremely loose joints and the metal, which admittedly is a nice touch, is just too heavy for the sissy ball joints...optimus is pretty cool, but ultimately, they're both just $5 paperweights...

i hope cyclonus and jetfire come out a little better cause even for $5 apiece, megs and optimus were disappointments...

I dunno why Hasbro thinks the Titanium Forged SW figures are worth $15, no way in hell that's a reasonable price, they're barely articulated, paint and sculpts are good from far but far from good, they're small and they just don't deliver that well.

to add to JT's criticisms of the forged figures, they are molded to the base. the only one i have is IG-88 and it would've been nice to display him alongside regular figures but it just isn't really possible with that large base.

I thought they were screwed to the base, and have long pegs as part of their feet which slip into the base to accomodate the screws.

EDIT: I'm wrong, they're screwed onto the base, the base is screwed onto the stand, but the figures have normal flat feet and can be removed from the bases:

thanks for the tip JT. i was able to remove my IG-88 from the stand and base. and yes, it was screwed onto the base. which in turn was screwed to the stand.

this makes it sooooo worth the $15 now! :p
