Check it out, Hasbro is doing Marvel versions of Galactic Heroes:

http://www.actionfigs.com/index.php?categoryid=18&p2_articleid=584

They even have the same packaging, it's weird.

Cap's grin is a little unnerving, like he's REALLY excited to kick some ***.

I'm not sure about these, they're not quite as endearing as the Star Wars versions, but they do have some charm and that Wolverine set is going to sell like hotcakes.

Who was the genius who included that pice of carp Hawkeye? He's right down there with Dazzler and NFL Superpro in the Marvel Characters Hall of Shame.

oh yeah, and then down the road the Marvel fans will see that their hotcakes will mean repacks with different figures so they'll be hotcaking Wolves again. lol

Man, you guys can be cold-hearted.

So what's wrong with the purple Green Arrow... I mean Hawkeye? :p I don't follow the comics so I'm out of the loop.

Playskool Punisher would be so great. :D

Hawkeye's just. . . stupid. And I believe he is (justifiably) dead, so it's morbid, too.

so they can make a spirit one next and have him be translucent purple.

all the jedi are dead (except that punk luke) in the SW line, but nobodys complaining about having figures for dead characters.

Will the Spirit of Hawkeye look like 'Bas Shaw or H Christ ?

I wonder if they would actually make a punisher.

I wonder if they would actually make a punisher.

you've got to have some villians for the good guys to fight. otherwise you end up with superman fighting batman fighting spiderman (i know they're not all marvel licenses) and even a little kid is gonna know from the cartoons that that's not right.

the punisher has shown up in many lines already (and in some cases in both cartoon and movie versions)

Where in the hell is Spider-Man?

I'm just waiting for some panty waist to mention the Punisher kills people. The Punisher isn't a villain though.

No, but he isn't a hero, either. Killer or no, I'd be surprised if we don't see him eventually, assuming the line lasts a while.

Then again, I expected Jar Jar to be "coming soon" when I first saw the Playskool line that became Galactic Heroes, so what do I know?

he generally doesn't get along with spidey (naming cause he's usually trying to kill whoever spidey is trying to bring to justice). so no he's not a true villain. but like chux says he ain't no hero.

Vigilante is what best describes the punisher&

The Punisher has always been described as a vigilante.

Except when he was undead, working for the forces of Heaven. But we'd all rather forget that happened, right?

That. NEVER. Happened.

I can't tell which is funnier, the eyes of jolly Iron Man, the happy Punisher or the cartoony eyes of Ghost Rider. :D

did wave 1 ever make it to retail?

Not yet, I think they don't come out till next year.

why release pix/info on wave 2 when wave 1 still hasn't even made it to retail. seems that they should just now be telling us whats upcoming in wave 1. and where's my galactic heroes snake eyes?

El Chuxter

and where's my galactic heroes snake eyes?

My God, that may be the best idea EVER!

I'd buy it just to see the cute artwork of kiddie manga styled Snake Eyes and Scarlett or Storm Shadow (whichever he's packed with).

They released the photos of wave 1 a month and a half ago, my guess is a 3 month lead time for print to get it to publication.

Found the entire first wave at Walmart today, but I didn't pick any up.
They look pretty good though.

Found pics of a new wave (three?).
With the new movie, I'm guessing they'll be out by July.
That Silver Surfer is really cool looking.
Naturally, no Invisible Woman.

Hopefully we see a fourth set of Sue and Doom.

JediTricks

What is that, Palibok and Namor??? Seems like they're already dredging pretty deep. Silver Surfer looks tres cool though.

EDIT: No, it's Super Skrull... there's another reason I hate F4: their villains with stupid names, lame generic aliens, ridiculous powers.

So, apparently there's also going to be a Spidey movie wave:

There's something SO wrong about goofy cute Venom. :p Notice how they pack the best fig - black costume Spidey - with the lamest fig - Sandman.

I was wonderin' why Spidey didn't make the first couple of waves,

I've seen all of them. Despite my love of GH, and initial anticipation, I've not been able to get excited enough to buy them.

I'll probably get Frank and Danny. (Don't say it's Johnny! Johnny sucks! It's Danny! Shut up!!! He'll use his penance stare on you!)
