Well, it appears that there is a small connetion between the PT and BSG!

Hayden Christensen and Kandyse McClure (AKA Anastasia Dualla) were both in the Canadian TV series Higher Ground!

I've never seen the series, but I stumbled across the little tid bit of info while surfing.

LOL, small world.

I hear good things about Battlestar Galactica from the same people I hear good things about Lost and Heroes from. :)

i like BSG, i like Lost, i don't really like Heroes

btw, this thread should be entitled "Ralph McQuarrie the SW/BSG connection". yes THE Ralph McQuarrie as he did many of the designs for the original BSG.

If we're getting into that far back, wasn't the original series totally inspired as a way to make money off the SW craze?

And a lawsuit, IIRC.

One of the few George's team lost...but than again, isn't Stargate ripping off the premise of BSG by saying an ancient civilization was the decendents of an advanced race that colonized Earth and than devolved/left?

Hey, that was a plot for Star Trek TNG!

A single episode...just saying, the idea that "aliens" some how had a hand in life evolving on earth isn't new or unique. It is what the Scientologists believe after all, and they're always right. ;)

Yeah, I guess EVERYONE stole the idea from L. Ron Cupboard (intentional misspelling to avoid potential lawsuits;) ).

Plus, Stargate already was sued successfully for plagerizing the movie from another writer, so who do you sue there? :p

The original BSG steals its look and timing from Star Wars (and FX head), but thematically owes more to Star Trek.
