View Full Version : Lock Up

This prison brutality film stars Sylvester Stallone and Donald Sutherland as the evil warden.

I saw it in the theater a long, long time ago and remembered liking it a lot and always planned to buy a copy. So recently I did. However, the disk is FUBAR and I'm going to have to hope Amazon's customer service is halfway decent.

It's a great movie though - I watched past the point where the bad inmates destroyed the Mustang, past when Chink (think that's his name) threatens Frank (Stallone) in the mess hall, and the disc went bad this time right at the cockroach races.

Ugggh! It's so frustrating. I want to see it all play out. Though it was actually made first, the film plays out a lot like a modern-day Shawshank Redemption.

Any fans of Lock Up around here?

I like it too, but I wouldn't mention it in the same breath as Shawshank. lol

I still can't watch this to the end because my DVD player pixilatest the image at Chapter 19 (when Frank gets the letters from his girlfriend) and the whole movie "Locks Up."

I'm going to try playing it over at my cousins' and see if that makes any difference. Grrrrrr.
